I'm late to the meme, but I finally made a finished animation! :D. I'm both proud and not so proud of it at the same time, mainly cuz I need to fix my pacing and I got lazy near the end, as you'll probably tell.
If I ever do upload again (which most definitely is gonna be awhile), it'll be much smaller videos since this is the biggest one I've made so far.

My favorite part of this it how it stay true to Mario and Luigi dynamics.
Mario lead the attacks and Luigi make sure Mario attacks lands and provides room for Mario to brrath.
They also make sure Luigi heavy attacks are clear open before they use it to avoid it missing or Luigi getting hurt.
People forget these two are a team and partners as well as brothers.
They work better when together.
I see a lot of SMBZ in this and I am all for it

Well Guess What…
Finally, a version of the fight where everyone gets a hit in. Too many people make it just "Mario and Luigi stomp", and while the animation is peak, it doesn't make the fight interesting. Best one I have seen so far.
I too punch myself in the face for not making it more interesting, and I actually researched Sephiroth while making this.
But I had a bad work ethic, which really burned me out and costed what it could have been

If you told me Alvin Earthworm made this, I would have no problem believing it. Aside from so weird sprite aliasing and low-quality sound clips, this is pretty darn on-point.

But for real, this is amazing, you did a really good job. It would have been fun to see more powerups than just the cape being an all around super power, but the M&L game references were a real joy, and the editing was seriously good! Hope to see more.
Believe me I wish I did more myself, and that's gonna be my goal for the next one

Before anyone says its unfair cuz Mario and Luigi had Power Ups and Items, Sephiroth has Materia.
This is, probably the most i’ve ever seen someone allow sephiroth to even stand a chance b4 getting clobbered
IDK why but I love how SMBZ made the one off flight power up from a fan favorite to a god mode world breaker.
Ranges from Kaioken X20 with no drawbacks, to half of a Super Saiyan
Super rad animation. That mid air green shell was such a cool spin on the iconic M&L bros attack!

If Mario and Luigi had every single ability from each of their series (RPG’s, base games, and etc.), then they’d actually be able to wallop Sephiroth together, at least his base form. They could battle him in his other forms but just not as well.

A little repetitive in soem sequences and very unrealistic on physics, but eh video games, still quite fun to watch and I do like how you used game mechanics from both franchises for the combo moves. Fun fight!
