It's called a creeper drive. My Father worked for IH for 41 years. At a now defunct dealership, C. Wilson and Sons in Kimberton, PA. The tractor looks nice, You should look around for fenders for it. I have a 1960 and having a dad who worked for IH, I have all the nice special stuff. :)
hi I really like your project and the tips are great, I just finished a ford 9n now I bought a 1963 cub cadet original which is more or less parts, I know nothing about them so my education begins
Good morning, i know is a very old video. i will love two restore two of my Cub Cadet Tractors. You did an amazing job! Which paint did you use? Links for the parts? Mine needs exactly what you did to yours. Has steering play and shifter rebuilt.
hi nice tractor, im doing a 71 and want to know where you got your rear tires. What size are they? You said 26 x 12, how wide are they? Could you please let me know.
Good job! Unfortunately in my country it is impossible to buy Cub Cadet, but I really like it. So I decided to build a similar tractor. Please could you tell me the size of the frame (width, height and length) and the installation size of the engine? Thanks beforehand!
Hello. I am glad you liked the tractor. This tractor is 5 feet in total length, the hood is 28 inches long, the top of frame is 15 inches from the floor, and the engine is about 20 inches tall. Good luck building your tractor and post some pictures when you are done!
That looks CRAZY GOOD!! Nice job. I do have a question on your hardware. The way you painted some bolts and not others looks awesome! Is there a reason for that? I've been racking my brain on how to do mine. Thanks in advance.......
Hello Jster, Thanks for the nice feedback. You can try spray painting your hardware with clear lacquer before using it. It will help keep it from rusting or the paint from chipping when you install it. Or you can buy stainless steel hardware but it is more expensive.
Hello there I have a 127 Cub Cadet and I'm looking for a steering rod and gear assembly they're wanting $500 for the one I found I can't really afford that so if you can point me in the right direction to give me one cheaper than that I would appreciate that thank you
I rebuilt mine really cheap. It was very easy. I bought all the ball bearings and same parts to rebuild it from Ace hardware for less than ten dollars.

Nice work brother

Cool video, thanks! Where do you source the bronze bushings from? And where do you get the ball-joint style front-end links?
Thank you! You would be surprised what you can find in an old fashioned mom and pop hardware store. I know you can find the ball joints on ebay.

Awesome! Thx......
Will u do a video of it running
You never need grade 8 on these machines, better to snap a bolt than break a casting.
if you want even stronger bolts call up ARP.
What model number is this cub cadet 60 70 71 62 what is it
It is International harvesters first garden tractor which is why it didn't have a number. They were built from 1961 to 1963. Thanks for watching.
It's inside your house? That's cool?
Hello there I have a 127
