The one thing I can’t stand is that we ask for things we don’t necessarily need but want…why you ask? Well comparing the modern day artist to the older ones, it is clear that the use of technology has made us too relaxed, so we forgot about the need for calculative techniques and the art of mastering your craft. As an artist, one supposed to be able to use whatever tools whether it’s robust or minimalist because the tools don’t make the artist but rather the artist make the tools. How good or bad the tool is, is determined by the artist using it….so also is pencil on paper, paint on canvas and charcoal on wall….just master the techniques with whatever is given, you will improve faster that way. And yes we can still request for features that aid us work fast but that shouldn’t be the driving force. All I’m saying is that I see no trouble grouping my frames so as move them around the track.
@TMC3000 makes sense…🤔 But hey… basically, it’s what this era of digital artists are used to. Making it different would make a lot of people question it and probably not even give it a chance. Might as well take out some of those useful tools from Procreate itself as well I guess.
@@TMC3000 I agree 100% with everything that you said. Like everyone else I was initially frustrated with Procreate Dreams missing lasso tool. But then I recalled that veteran animators like Arshad Mirza Baig, and Disney’s Aaron Blaise barely use lasso tools to animate anyway. And not a single Disney or warner bros classic was created with a lasso tool. My thinking is, if they could do it, why can’t I? Sure, I would love to get my hands on a lasso tool, but I’m not going to let that stop me from creating animating in the interim. So I use this Golden opportunity to ACTUALLY PRACTICE DRAWING THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, and lo and behold my drawings improved. What a radical idea 🤷🏾 In the process, I also had to use my BRAIN to invent workarounds using tracks and erasing tools. Yes, there are MUCH easier animation apps out there and those who can’t take the heat should run to them immediately! But at the end of the day, I discovered that despite PD’s limitations, the UI is simply unprecedented. Which means I get to learn BRAND NEW ways of doing things which always peaks my Artist’s curiosity. I also discovered that nothing flipped through frames more eloquently than PD. The capacity to tweak the timing of my lip syncing and acting beats on the fly as the video is playing is truly unparalleled! To me all of the other apps make me feel like I’m working, and PD feels like I’m playing. Besides, ToonSquid can’t even play my 3 minute animated music video without choking. 🤬 I’ll take Procreate Dreams any day!
Toonsquid 2.0 is coming. And it’s gonna have everything that dreams has and more. Including rigging and custom meshes

I hope they do that sooner.

@@christianr.5868exactly, wdym ur adding a fundamental for animation LATER?
Agreed. Even 2d animation dedicated softwares have them so it’s supposed to be a no-brainer.
Even Blender has one😂😂
You can move multiple bars by grouping
True. But this means I always have to group them first…😒
Sometimes you don’t want those clips grouped.
@@KobbyToonsJust cut and paste 🙇🏻♂️
