Chorten and Swoyambu Kora during Saga Dawa 2019,

Saga Dawa Festival 2019
Saga means “the fourth” and Dawa refers to “month” in Tibetan. This festival is celebrated for whole month and is one of the most significant festivals celebrated in by Buddhist. But the fifteenth day of the month (17th June 2019) is very special as Sakyamuni was born, attained Nirvana (enlightenment), stepped into Parinirvana (death). Buddhist believe that it would accumulate immense of merits during that particular day by giving generosity, stopping killing animals and eating meats, etc.
In Kathmandu Boudhanath Stupa and Swoyambunath hundreds of people circumambulating around. -Monks reciting prayer along the path and the devotees make donation for the monks and baggers. Different ethnic group organize breakfast for the devotees.
On 11th of June 2019, Sherpa group organized breakfast consisting bread, Alu chana and tea for more then 1700 devotees.

Thanks for Tibetan who brought Budhisim in nepal again. Though Budha born in Nepal the country celebrating Dashin and Tihar where animals life r sacrificing in name of god.Now hope innocent animals r not any more killed in name of hindu religion. Jey Nepal Jey budhisim.
