As a Spaniard I just can't thank you enough for featuring the Britisn colony in Gibraltar as a part of Spain. Hopefully it won't take long to be returned to our country.
They well may catch a plane to Great Britain and live "Britishly" for the rest of their lives. Just a suggestion, but I believe most of then would stay since they already work in Spain, go to the Health System in Spain, go to school in Spain, only coming back home for the night, and many of them actually live in Spain, like Fabian Picardo, ministry of Gibraltar who lives in the utmost exclusive resort of Sotogrande in Cádiz, Spain. Nonetheless, when Hong Kong was returned to China, the locals were returned along with the territory and nothing untoward happened. I don't see why it should be different in this case.

I believe that creating better politics will help increase influence on Gibraltar's people. I also believe that solving Andalucia's economical troubles would change the view of many Gibraltarians. The first one is native to Spain, the second one was introduced in antiquity by the Phoenicians. By the way the Elche palm groves are in Southern Spain. You are right in a lot of ways but as someone pointed out above said, there are other places like Mallorca, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Canary Islands, Ibiza, NW Spain that are regularly visited by tourists that doesn't have much Islamic History. Most of Islamic History in Spain are in the Andalucia though
