A general trend in Punjabi films is:
1. No lead or even side Hindu character.
2. All characters, story lines, and dialogues are Sikhs oriented (and now few Musalims oriented). There is no representation of Hindu culture. I've never heard a character wishing Ram Ram to someone else.
3. Hindu religious characters are always shown in bad light. They are shown as thugs and with mockery.
4. Rarely there will be a Hindu character, but that will be a father of the girl who is in love with a Jat Sikh boy.
Hindus make over 40% population in Punjab and 50% Punjabi population worldwide, but their representation in Punjabi films is 0. This marginalisation needs to Stop.
