This game used to be so much fun with jetpacks, now I feel like the devs don't know what to do with F84. Not to mention they're so out of touch with its own community....

They just have to bring back vertical jetpack or jet leap to their game so that jet leap and jet slide will the standard movements for each heroes and their game will be great again. They have to make use of their jetpacks especially it's part of the design of their game and their heroes wear jetpacks. Why even design the characters with jetpacks at the first place if jetpacks can't be used anymore in the game.
I was surprised when they said that the jetpack was no longer the identity of the game and that was the only thing that stood out from other BR, now is a game more of the monton, where each update add things but remove other things without saying anything, just a moment ago in a comment on instagram I read that: so much that we play to get the skins of the White Dwarf that that weapon was removed. . and I was WTF!!!, I'm downloading it to see what they removed, I'm not lying to you that the visual in the menu in the UI I like a lot, is more the map as seen in the video I like a lot this more decorated, but I still see the gameplay very slow and boring. so much noise they made highlighting the jetpacks in old videos from 4 years ago (some people think that the game is a year old.... not 5 years ago and it was called Mission S) to remove them and without giving a solid justification, I think the game is going through several “hands” and adding many things to see if it is accepted or not, like this last update, where the metrics of Steam DB has risen a little and it will do it now because it is the weekend, to finish the saddest thing is that they listened to people who could not master the jetpack with a lot of complaints about it, I am causal and I liked my comparison was as if F84 was like a Soulslike but in shooter, difficult but fun, now is boring and full of bots, as I said I'm downloading it to see what they removed, Good Video Greetings from Colombia

Here me out. When they removed the jetpacks, they said that the playerbase is complaining about how hard it is to use. but as far as i know, the global community was satisfied with it. I am willing to bet they were talking about the chinese playerbase and not us global ones.

It's just thrilling the fact that ppl actually call things the way they see them and that's what i saw in this video.. i totally agree on most of things i heard except for the part of shutting the game and relaunching again simply cuz it's too late.... decisions have been made since jetpack removal and the game lost the respect of the audience
I like the changes and think maybe people just need to give it a chance. I would’ve preferred a more post-apocalyptic vibe and stuff, but it’s still my fave game on the iPad. I always wanted the slide skill in the game, and am glad they implemented it. Imagine sliding with jet packs-with all the special abilities, that would’ve been so cool and fun.
The game is set in the 22nd century in a time where the prism company had created an IBCI; equivalent of the neuralink that got attacked by a virus that traps users in a virtual universe and controls their bodies as "zomborgs" ,also the characters aren't called heroes because they save but because that's what a successful survivor is called in the lore. This was how it was in the very beginning, no individual abilities, just passives and weapons that have special abilities and there were also energy towers for players to charge up to buy stuff 😢
Buddy's should only be considered as the lifeforce of that world which could be controlled this is just a bonus. I hope devs don't overuse the word "tactical" and make better use of jetpack for faster moments ❤ listening to its player base is the best solution
Hey. Newer player here! I got into FL84 just recently with the previous update. As a new player I never got to experience the jetpacks myself but i still enjoyed the movements of the game. Never truly understood why people were so bent over its removal but this video did bring some things to light. I can tell the game is really trying hard to attract new players. Clear signs of a dying game. It's a shame too because I really like the current style of it.
I don't understand when the whole community is asking for Jetpacks, the question that comes to mind is what is stopping them to bring back the old gameplay
i think they said in some post year ago that they have different vision for the game and jetpacks were just testing thing during beta , so they removed it as they were never meant to be implemented permanently
Farlight devs have tendency of removing or replacing stuff that no one asks for. They just copy from 5 different game and try to mix them together. Simple fast paced gameplay made this game popular in first place. But they removed jetpack and added bunch of lackluster abilities. About the buddies i don't like the gimmick of collecting Pokémon and the sound they make is cringy. They should give all heros a standard dash ability and 2 unique abilities. Good Optimization and network service should be priority instead of adding useless stuff that make the game heavy. If the gameplay is good from its core players will play this no matter what

I lived in singapore for last 4 ish years and i remember playing old farlight and they had many polls about changes and what guns to add/remove and if they should remove jet packs like 5 times. My friends from NA/EU said this was asian only thing and i just think its unfair to make such huge change without whole community input. But yes all asian friend i have generally like no jet pack which i disagree with
I wish Farlight 84 Developers could do a mode where there are jetpacks. I have an idea. They could add Jetpack mode into Sunset City,Lampton. It should be separate from other modes
I like the buddy system personally. Adds to the strategy of the games. Using Buzzy to pick up your teammates. Smokey to cover yourself to get away and regroup. Or push in. Collect portable gun containers to restock up. Lots of different opportunities and gameplay styles. I can see where Farlight is heading, and they are doing a good job. i think they are making a name for themselves in the BR community.

Man I agree with your most opinion it's basically the gist for the old farlight players , who put hours in the game made the game competitive , but the jetpack removal was backstab for us , even they shut down the game, play test with Phillipeins pros and chinese community it would kill the game all together they have to grow again from the start cause it's too late for the old players, but if they don't listen to the mass community they should at least make discussion with pros make a game demo with current and recommended things to see their reactions then make play test for the content creators who can promote the game , make promo campaign like in 2023 play store recommended farlight more than anything . With current situation they are just going for new community and with a little number of considerate old community players. IMO this is the Farlight they have been looking for, I love the gameplay, I love the game, yes I’m also an OG player, y’all can say whatever but FL84 is still a very good game in my opinion, the buddies will have personalities and all about, all these things are nothing but TIME😂 Just Time my dudes. FL84 should stick to this update and further improve the game from here.

I never use buddy in my gameplay cause i forgot that they were there n i don't need buddy to wind the game all i need is common sense ,skill n team cooperation that is all i need to win the game. And yeah i think so they try to win over the new audiences. Im just waiting for energy hero to try it out

new mechanic "buddies" is fine and i like it, think of it like grenades in visual of pets, yes the game has identity crisis and copies very silly unnecessary things, recently the symbol notification when killing an enemy like valorant "oh, valorant has it, lets add it" "oh, cod from 10 years ago has hold shift to hold breath" ??? blindly copying things, copy good stuff thats fine, but not the point your whole identity changes over and over again
The theory about the vehicle part was an interesting one....noticed they don't care bout the vehicles anymore...Even the latest vehicle they released falcon is of no use, since it now placed on sunset city which isn't rank...it's completely useless. Old farlight vehicles had a lot of use in the Game, both when you on a 1v1 fight or full team fight, they play a part buh now...the vehicles are just there no changes, no improvement. I won't even surprised if they release their so called FPP mode, the vehicles will finally be removed. I keep asking myself what's gone wrong with this game, if I did had the chance to grind more back then since launch I'd do it, before all this latest shit came. I'm done...the time, the money everything I devoted to this game all gone. I deleted mine today and this is the fifth time... I'm deleting. I've never seen dev who promises their community and who tries to give hope on them buh they just continue to fail. They told me to fill a form regarding my issues..I just laughed at that stuff cos I know they ain't going to listen...even if you write a full will they won't listen. I pray and will continue pray for them to shutdown.
Good points u got there, but lemme tell that farlight 84 gave up completely on it's old player base...that's what lazy caz meant when he said the game is having surgery and it's gonna be completely something else...and it's relying on kids and casual players who r attracted by visuals and don't really care about sweaty fights..fast movements..or even winning they wanna make lil kids interact with those cheap version of pokemons look alikes called buddies 😂 So yeah u get the idea now and hopefully if kids don't like it too we might start discussing the shut down of the game even though I'm quite positive that it won't survive 2025... sorry for our loss "bro hug" but i did delete it once and for all and I'm playing codm until something brings adrenaline kicks back with fast paste movements

I say at least half (me included) of the players that remained are due to Sunk Cost Fallacy ... time and sometimes money spent that needs justifications, but that is like a battery, similar to Nostalgia, but Nostalgia is rechargable, the Fallacy is like Alkaline Batteries, it will keep powered for a while, and at the end you bearly have any juice left, then you suddenly stop, then recover a small last bit of energy, but when you use the power again (play again) the battery quickly plummets and dies.
i delete this game because i could not manage the game play any more every thing got slower and most of all i dont know why they remove 4 team and and future guns and they dont work more on agents only the one people love

FARLIGHT FEELS LIKE A ALPHA VERSION GAME way before the Buddy’s!! I LOVED Farlight.. but more and more things in updates made ZERO sense! Character reworks/ „new looks“ or the actual removal of Jetpacks (F84 Heart&Soul).. The identitycrisis started wayyy before the buddy’s 🥲 After hearing the newest stuff, I’m pretty sure: THERE WAS A REMOVE/CHANGE in the dev team (probably some were against changes/ future plans of farlight& left the team [Btw I feel like the new BR Trigger smth is from the devs that left..]) Either DevTeam had drastic changes or smone removed their BRAINS! after launch a lot spent much money, because the skins were so nice (MKR skin that was very rare back then) & no one WAS EXPECTING THIS SHIT SHOW IT TURNED INTO! I am so pissed on whoever is responsible for destroying a wonderful game 💔 I don’t even want to start with the shooting experience
i liked the visuals and movement a lot - when i started having the ability to get your ass out quick by jet packing was really new - tho i think the abilities were unbalanced the overall vibe was really great - sunset carnival was really a good place to use the movement to its maximum potential - it was really good at urban settings and gets you out quickly even out in the open - when they introduced the wall climb and removing the jetpack it just didnt add up - why remove a feature and replace it with another - they nerfed and buff certain characters making the unbalanced skill more unbalanced - by the time the new skills and wall climb mechanic was implemented i lost interest - now i hear they turning it into a palworld wannabe clone i'm more confused and it make the whole mechanic even more complicated

IMO this is the Farlight they have been looking for, I love the gameplay, I love the game, yes I’m also an OG player, y’all can say whatever but FL84 is still a very good game in my opinion, the buddies will have personalities and all about, all these things are nothing but TIME😂 Just Time my dudes. FL84 should stick to this update and further improve the game from here.

I never use buddy in my gameplay cause i forgot that they were there n i don't need buddy to wind the game all i need is common sense ,skill n team cooperation that is all i need to win the game. And yeah i think so they try to win over the new audiences. Im just waiting for energy hero to try it out

new mechanic "buddies" is fine and i like it, think of it like grenades in visual of pets, yes the game has identity crisis and copies very silly unnecessary things, recently the symbol notification when killing an enemy like valorant

The theory about the vehicle part was an interesting one....noticed they don't care bout the vehicles anymore...Even the latest vehicle they released falcon is of no use, since it now placed on sunset city which isn't rank...it's completely useless. Old farlight vehicles had a lot of use in the Game, both when you on a 1v1 fight or full team fight, they play a part buh now...the vehicles are just there no changes, no improvement. I won't even surprised if they release their so called FPP mode, the vehicles will finally be removed. I keep asking myself what's gone wrong with this game, if I did had the chance to grind more back then since launch I'd do it, before all this latest shit came. I'm done...the time, the money everything I devoted to this game all gone. I deleted mine today and this is the fifth time... I'm deleting. I've never seen dev who promises their community and who tries to give hope on them buh they just continue to fail.
They told me to fill a form regarding my issues..I just laughed at that stuff cos I know they ain't going to listen...even if you write a full will they won't listen. I pray and will continue pray for them to shutdown.
Good points u got there, but lemme tell that farlight 84 gave up completely on it's old player base...that's what lazy caz meant when he said the game is having surgery and it's gonna be completely something else...and it's relying on kids and casual players who r attracted by visuals and don't really care about sweaty fights..fast movements..or even winning they wanna make lil kids interact with those cheap version of pokemons look alikes called buddies 😂
So yeah u get the idea now and hopefully if kids don't like it too we might start discussing the shut down of the game even though I'm quite positive that it won't survive 2025... sorry for our loss "bro hug" but i did delete it once and for all and I'm playing codm until something brings adrenaline kicks back with fast paste movements

I say at least half (me included) of the players that remained are due to Sunk Cost Fallacy ... time and sometimes money spent that needs justifications, but that is like a battery, similar to Nostalgia, but Nostalgia is rechargable, the Fallacy is like Alkaline Batteries, it will keep powered for a while, and at the end you bearly have any juice left, then you suddenly stop, then recover a small last bit of energy, but when you use the power again (play again) the battery quickly plummets and dies.
My nostalgia games are Spore , Banished , FTL , Robocraft...
i delete this game because i could not manage the game play any more every thing got slower and most of all i dont know why they remove 4 team and and future guns and they dont work more on agents only the one people love

I LOVED Farlight.. but more and more things in updates made ZERO sense! Character reworks/ „new looks“ or the actual removal of Jetpacks (F84 Heart&Soul).. The identitycrisis started wayyy before the buddy’s 🥲
After hearing the newest stuff, I’m pretty sure: THERE WAS A REMOVE/CHANGE in the dev team (probably some were against changes/ future plans of farlight& left the team [Btw I feel like the new BR Trigger smth is from the devs that left..])
Either DevTeam had drastic changes or smone removed their BRAINS! after launch a lot spent much money, because the skins were so nice (MKR skin that was very rare back then) & no one WAS EXPECTING THIS SHIT SHOW IT TURNED INTO! I am so pissed on whoever is responsible for destroying a wonderful game 💔
I don’t even want to start with the shooting experience
i liked the visuals and movement a lot - when i started having the ability to get your ass out quick by jet packing was really new - tho i think the abilities were unbalanced the overall vibe was really great - sunset carnival was really a good place to use the movement to its maximum potential - it was really good at urban settings and gets you out quickly even out in the open - when they introduced the wall climb and removing the jetpack it just didnt add up - why remove a feature and replace it with another - they nerfed and buff certain characters making the unbalanced skill more unbalanced - by the time the new skills and wall climb mechanic was implemented i lost interest - now i hear they turning it into a palworld wannabe clone i'm more confused and it make the whole mechanic even more complicated

I said this already in your community post but will saying it again again l like this game for many months since global launch and l already understand why the game is not still the same anymore l will still playing it since l liked it a little. / but when it comes to OG players including myself of course it’s just we don’t have that same feeling anymore like when l came to switch games after Apex Mobile was sunset or either Apex and other games are not in me anymore then l came across Farlight in April 2023 it used to be my top favorite games for 2023 but now not anymore lts bullshit to all OG players out there but new players will see how it goes anyways great commentary video about the game brother ik it’s difficult to all of us OG players right now but will see how long will be last gonna still miss OG Farlight as always but once again l do not want this game to die either and they need more good things than that to be fixed.
