Yes Joe, great mold. Takes a bit to get it seasoned. Yeah, I just look at them after I'm done casting. Maybe 10 or 15 out of 500 are rejects. They shoot, and cycle great. Very accurate. Thanks for your comment.
Is there a lip around the opening of the hollow-point cavity on the bullet after casting? It looks like there is.... Is the depth of the punch (cavity) adjustable? or does the screw you pointed out just hold the punch in place? Thank you for your time.
I have a question if you can plesse answer thia for me please lol? Is there different Top Punches that are used for the Lyman Devastator Molds. The punch you have for you mold seema to be longer than the molds i have seen on websites where you can purchase Top Punches?
One of the first bullet molds I ever purchased was a Lyman Devastator mold for my 45 Kimber. I also have the 9mm. Both work great. I even fabricated an adjustable hollow pointing spud so that I could regulate the depth of my hollow points. Shallow hollow points give me more weight and penetration and deeper hollow points give me lighter weight and less penetration but more expansion. Here's a photo of what I'm talking about. instagram.com/p/Bgux527BdsO/ I've also converted the cheaper Lee bullet molds to hollow pointing multi-cavity molds. There is also a website called "Hollow Point Bullet Mold Service" which will hollow point a rifle or pistol mold for you if you don't have the metal working machinery to do it yourself. www.hollowpointmold.com/
Thank you so much for shoeing a great video of the Devestator Mold with detailed over view of the Top Punch.
You sure scored on that Lyman mold!
Great video, Bud! I’m sure the cold air help getting the frost off. Very straight forward. Good stuff!
It was 14 degrees out with -9 wind chill. Listen to the wind howling at 30mph. My hands were shaking. My legs were numb. All for a good cause.
Love my XD! Springfield Armory has ALWAYS been consistent with EVERY model I've had!
The XD is a fantastic pistol. My first one was the 4" Service Model as well!
Pretty good video. Using the mold seems pretty easy. I presume if one doesn't come out quite right you just throw it back it the melting pot.

Lee 6 cavity mold handles will work on them
You stole that mold!!!!! I cast some 440 gr 50 cal flat points, thinking about converting one cavity into a hollow point

To answer your question, it does both.

Anyone know if this could be used for 380 ACP. If sized properly?? I saw info on this somewhere but am unable to find it again..
Hello,
Can you shoot some at the range, just to see how they group, I was thinking of these for a 357 rifle
this mold is for pistols at .356 dai. , rifles use .358! will it work yes but accuracy is not good! jus try thoughts.
I cannot get these to chamber. I sized them to .356
Something is not right.
can't take safety too far. lol
Ill give you 60 for it lol
