impressive, it looks so easy when watching the video but I am sure it is harder to do than it looks but over all this helps for those who want to learn how to apply prosthetic appliances, good job.
I do prefer to do the overall colouring on the performers face for the reasons you mentioned. I often find I alter even the prepainted sections a bit as well, just to get the balance right. The prepainting does help speed up the more detailed painting and allows you to spend more time on it. When doing a make up many, many times it is sometimes easier to prepaint more (including the flesh tones) as you become familiar with the paint job and the tones you will use.
Very cool what does! You could also make a tutorial showing how to make the parts of the masks, how to show the form that makes the mascara. Sensational!
The zombie makeups are always fun to do! The only boundaries left is the imagination. And I got in mind the line between the fake teeth and the real one, I guess it can be achieved with some fake teeth over the real ones.
wish Id seen this video instead of the other one before my client I used this on, but that said, I will know for next time, and the first time didn't turn out too bad. Love the instructional detail in this one
It doesn't look like it's going to work until near the end because of the teeth, but it works really well. Looks like there's more going on than it simply being stuck on the outside of the face.
It's very flexible indeed - especially once the gelatine has warmed up to the temperature of your face, you will have no problems with movement. Of course you should be careful hen you eat, and drink with a straw, because the more liquid/grease it takes on, the more it will want to peel off :)
@Blondeninja116 Thank you! It is a gelatine piece like all the appliances we sell; it means we can keep the costs low (this appliance costs just £19.50) plus you can tear, melt and manipulate the appliance for your own project if you need to ;)
You can be as fast as you want or take as long as you want - you could get this stuck down and basically painted within half an hour, if your wished :)
@soundlive7 Try using some o four makeup sealer on the skin BEFORE applying the adhesive - this will create a nice barrier between the skin and prosthetic and stop some o fthe sweat making it's way onto the appliance ;)
@hotshot4525 We don't recommend re-using as the piece will be soaked with body oils, sweat, paint and blood and will be fairly unpleasant, but we have had customers who have re-used by using a water-based adhesive, but this of course means you won't be able to blend the edges to get the proper finished look ;)
que pasada!! está genial, ya se mas o menos como lo hacen el the walking dead!! :) increible, se tienen que pasar un largo tiempo haciendolo!! pero bueno, vale la pena ;)
@WrecklessRecluse Thanks! We sell these prosthetics and materials in our online shop, so this is just one of many tutorials we filmed to help customers :)
I'm going to be making an order very soon from your website and I'm also purchasing an airbrush machine. Is there a certain brand of airbrush makeup that works best with gelatine? Thank you so much. Your work is absolutely amazing!
You guys do great work! I know on the walking dead they use pros aide transfers to cover the brows of the zombies. I was wondering if you sold any products like that?
I completely love your work!!! Just wondering, how much adhesive/remover is required for each Application? Would the 5mL bottle be enough for the mash up App for instance? And could you achieve this look using the Rubber Mask Grease Paint Palette from your site?
Do you ship over to the uk, because i currently have a level 3 qualification in Special Effects Makeup, and i'm heading off to university soon. was wondering if it was possible to buy from your website. I think your prosthetics are absolutely amazing, and working with gelatine is so much better than foam latex, which is what we mostly get over here in the uk. the prostheics in this video is incredible and i'de love to have it. Thank you.
I want to be a prosthetics makeup artist when I'm older, i was wondering if you could give me a list of basic tools and products i should get to practise? :)

wish Id seen this video instead of the other one before my client I used this on, but that said, I will know for next time, and the first time didn't turn out too bad. Love the instructional detail in this one

This is amazing. Truly amazing. I will Trick or treat to show this off.
freaking awesome. :D I'd love to see how you created the actual prosthetic
@kimbocat40 That's right, with a layer of prosthetic adhesive painted on first to help the paint stick ;)
nice work now i know what the bar is set at i can begin to practice to get there
@rclsu13 The adhesive is not latex - it is a specific prsotehtic adhesive that we sell, and we also sell the sealer ;)
That must be the coolest thing I've ever seen!
That make me realize how extremely many hours it would get into making the zombies. Pretty impressive I must say!
Thank you!! Glad you like the work ;)
Awesome, most techniques are also used on scale models.

nice thats acctually realistic
awsome job man!
Amazingly cool! Awesome skill right there!
That's a HUGE question! Search for a forum called 'the effects lab' and you will see a LOT of sculpting info ;)
Lotsa talent there dude! Do you have to do it in 3 pieces, or do you plan on painting something else on the other 2/3rds? Thanks!!!!!!!
@edgarpriednieks Yes, many people pre paint a lot before applying to themselves, then you would just have to match in the edges ;)
@MrSamWilko I honestly don't remember - I have done so many applications since this one it seems like a lifetime ago!
@Davby24 Hi and thanks - the prosthetic application kit should be enough for this piece, and yes you can use greasepaint ;)
Wow, that's a good tutorial and a smooth voice :D
Glad to hear that I can drink with this on! Got a massive Halloween party this year and I would hate it if beer spilled out the sides of my mouth. = )
awesome... as usual... buts quite harder that it looks. it would be a great idea remake all nimba videos with this quality!
@WrecklessRecluse Thanks! We sell these prosthetics and materials in our online shop, so this is just one of many tutorials we filmed to help customers :)

We don't recommend it, but some customers have - we now sell some silicone prosthetics which can be used for years with he right care ;)
Amazing video! Truly amazing.. Good job! I love it!
I just bought this and am extremely excited to wear it for Halloween but I'm wondering how long you would say the application time would take.
Nice video... I learned alot just watching it.
dude, i would love to be in a series like this :)
great work! and you also have great voice!
@Davby24 Oh, for the mash up you should probably go for a 50ml bottle of adhesive ;)
They are sculpted in clay, then a mould is made then gelatine is poured into that mould and left to cool, then we have a proasthetic!
That was awesome.
Where do you get the first piece of fake sculpted skin ? You know, the basic stuff you stick in the guy's face ?
La ressemblance est flipante!
very good job, good everything
You guys do great work! I know on the walking dead they use pros aide transfers to cover the brows of the zombies. I was wondering if you sold any products like that?
