Couldn't it just be Amy is trying to move on from Jacob, Aaron is struggling with Summer (which i wouldn't blame him, knowing how she is). Then they find happiness in each other, no rape or drunk stuff, they have struggles, but can't deny there feelings, get together and thus happiness is assured, it probably wouldn't last but you want something to feel good instead of this rape drama, or any of these other plots.
