Please tell me one thing....broad border makes short people look short...is it true
Not always, I’ve seen big flower design with big border saree which is soft and nice (pure pashmina) on a short person , who is average build looked amazing you will forget her hight until you go near her. But majority of the saree with big border may not suit for short people. Better to choose the saree that tightly hug your body with nice flowing if you are short but love big border

Could you please explain what is meant by semi silk, sarees look very gorgeous
Semi silks is the mix of pure raw silk threads and other fabrics such as cotton, linen etc., usually your pure silk thread goes as warp which is verticals thread lines in your sarees and horizontal threads are called weft. Your silk sarees value is determined by the amount of silk that went into to your saree and also the thickness of the warp and quality of the wept etc., more the silk ,softer the saree is. This applies to any silk sarees like tissue mulberry etc.,
When we talk about kanchipuram semi silk kanchipuram is famous for not silk but the way they make the saree using silk. the big zaari and the complex design patterns all over the body southindian artworks etc., the work you will not find that in any other silk sarees . when the blend has more silk it will be soft and shine and gets costly. Mostly many big showrooms price this 10 times higher.

Thanks for the question, to be honest with you these are not pure silk. They are semi silk, which is raw silk blended with different fabric. It could be cotton , linen or other artificial fabric in here. We cannot comment on the percentage of silk added, because every saree is different and their combination is different, more the silk, more the softness so you figure.😊 thank you
