- This new game is like Pokemon with weapons and it’s letting players do something UNTHINKABLE.
Unlike most gritty survival games, here you’ll play in a vibrant open-world, full of Pokemon-like creatures known as PALS.
You can catch them just like Pokemon but they’re also essential to your survival.
PALS can fight alongside you, helping you avoid danger. Instead of endlessly grinding for
There’s no boring, repetitive grind for resources to expand your town; PALS can harvest crops and construct a secure base!
They can even build factories where they’ll go to work and craft valuable items and gear for you to use! You’ve just gotta remember to keep them fed.
The game’s called Palworld but sadly it won't be coming to one of the BIGGEST platforms.
It’ll be available on PC but developer Pocket Pair have decided to skip launching on Playstation entirely, opting to release only on XBOX and Game Pass instead.
While this sucks for all you Playstation players, it does mean you’ll be spared from one of the game’s most brutal features: having to cook and eat your adorable PALS when food supplies start to run low…

The process of getting the full factory running is a lot longer than this trailer makes it seem (been playing with a full team of 4 friends and we only just now are able to craft muskets manually) but we're having a crazy amount of fun just running around, exploring the world and catching everything in sight. Definitely something to look into.

I got to level 10 in a couple hours by building inside the citadel you spawn in and speed grinding the production. I'm already speed crafting ingots for my future. Do you have any suggestions?

Yeah, that's fair, but a lot of the trailers make it seem like you're gonna have a big factory pretty quick, and I didn't want to let that false assumption go.

I don't have much advice, really. We set up just outside one of the spawn areas and just focused on leveling up the base as fast as we could. Mostly i had one friend who managed the base while I ran around catching and gathering whatever we needed
There isn't one part of this "short" video that suggests you will have anything fast. Stop complaining. You are here trying to get info because you can't figure it out and decide to knock this video?
Once you level to the mid-30s, the game becomes very grindy
Facts the one thing that’s a grind is the iron deposits for me. It’s not the fact I can’t find any, it’s just the fact that pals (at least on Xbox) won’t mine the deposits at their base unless I’m there
@@thatguy2920 Go to where the alpha Beakon lives there are 8-10 daily respawning iron deposits there. You can build your base on the plateau 10s away. Get a digtoise and his harness and you can clear out all the ore there within 10min.
@thatguy2920 I'm having that issue with my 3rd base for coal. 1st 2 bases auto farm no problem. On PC tho
I do not know exactly about the objective standards of what is grindy but personally, the game did became grindy at one point but it almost gets automated when you finally settle your bases. You just have to throw balls and spam buy pals from merchants eventually.

Pretty early on you start to produce way more food than you can use and wood/stone after that
@@AlexanderVFX I got 2 berry farms and a wheat farm. It's producing way more than enough food for 15 pals. You have to be trying to fuck up your food supply for it to run low

UUuuummmm the food situation is definitely not the worst part of this game. That prize goes to the fact that you aren't limited to just cute animals for your Pals. You can turn other humans into Pals as well. And you can soilent green them to solve your food issues

Best way I can describe it: Breath of the wild (style and some gameplay aspects), Conan exiles (the slaves doing work around the base), ark (the building, menu style, stats tea tree) and pokemon (the animals and capture mechanic)
That fact that i can be using a pistol while gliding/hanging onto an eagal meanwhile my goth pal is flying behind me with my war beatle devastating the ground troops is insane I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

I won't lie, I butchered 3 Foxparks in a row, only to discover they give you no leather, and felt pretty horrible after. I know these creatures are 1s and 0s...but those little whimpers they make.

My Pals work at farming, and store their own food, and can generate their own water. I make sure they have hot springs and plenty of warm safe areas to sleep. And plenty of guns and explosives for defense. They do right by me, I do right by them.

@@humodake817 Your assuming that I'm trying to minmax this game. I play casually and therefore take my time. I make materials as needed so I have no real need for the butchers cleaver. Plus if I need it, Digtose is a good source of the stuff

I see a lot of "my pals all eat berris and its fine" its fine for early game when all your pals only have working skills level 1. The harder a pal works the faster its sanity goes down and the more likely it is to get sick. Food items actually have a sanity score, so eating better food lets them work harder, plus they work longer because they spend less time running back to the bin all the time cause better food also refils the food gauge faster. Thing is this doesn't mean you have to butcher your pals. You can absolutely just hunt wild pals and eat those. Btw the feeding bin gets used left to right so leave the berries in the right hand slot, but every now and then just go hunt some stuff that drops meat and use fire guys to cook up a bunch of decent food and throw it all into the food bin at the left.
Some Pokemon Fans and Nintendo: The pokemon world is a utopia where you become friends with fantastic creatures.
Meanwhile in the pokemon world:
- Trainers find random pokemon and beat the loving poop out of them until they submit and get in their balls.
- Pokemon are forced into fighting for human entertainment. Essentially being glorified dog fighting for kids.
- Humans take credit for the labor and accomplishments of the pokemon they kidnapped and forced into fighting for them.

Food is strangely easy to produce, I don't know why but 2 berry farms is still producing more than I need with 15 pals at the base. It's even crazier now that I'm producing jam filled buns, they're gonna have to really up the food consumption if they want that part of the game to be a challenge.
For now, butchering your Pals is just a case of "do you want to?".

Food supplies never run low. Growing crops is super easy. Just deploy a pal for gardening, a pal for watering, and a pal for harvesting. Then be sure to have multiple crops and you’re good for life
Facts. Pre-launch the devs mentioned that eating a PAL might be necessary but I've never run low on food.
"Like Pokemon" - Pokemon literally means Pocket Monsters.
It's just a Survival Craft Game with Creatures. But yeah, it VERY vibrant and colourful! Unlike PKMN, you can also make Fortresses, Bastions, Keeps, and Castles as well as Hermit Huts, Towns and Villages. The only issue is that, since it's currently in Alpha Stage Development, there's very limited items to build.
End Game, obviously it DOES become repetitive for now. But as a Builder, as long as it's easier to get the items I need to make more things, I'm good.
Sacrifice usually comes alongside Breeding thru Pal Essence Condenser. For spares, you could sell them. Didn't know that at first and Butchering them took WAY too long. Don't butcher them, just sell them for Coin. Frees up Palbox for more Eggs faster.

It’s like Pokémon, Craftopia, astroneer and ark all rolled into one and it’s so good, But no seriously this game is really addictive it’s so good, it’s got just that right amount of grind , travel and levelling, and all the automations you can work on

As someone who played Pokemon from Silver to Shield, Ark and Genshin Impact, I would say that it has a partial of those games but is it's own game. No wonder Gamefreak lose in lawsuit. I haven't played BTW and Fortnite so I can't include it. So for those who said this is a Pokemon rip-off, no it's not, tho Pal World is much fun to play than Pokemon.
