Have you ever found yourself in the height of your frustrations and been met with an unexpected kindness? How did that affect how you ultimately responded to the situation?
My husband treats people with kindness even when I ask him to not be so nice, but he’s actually setting a good example for me and anyone who gets to know him.
My husband is the same, I’m pretty quick to reply and react and he is just so much better than that, constantly telling me that love is the only real thing we can put our faith in, I do try
This is a good piece and it can be easy to get trapped in the cycle of payback but there are some problems with it. There's a difference between necessary and unnecessary violence. There's a difference between "mean" people and intractably abusive people that aren't even sorry and are in protected unaccountable positions of authority, and there's a big difference between the people we can get away from and the ones we can't. There's also a difference in taking out legitimate hostile targets versus not checking your targets and engaging in war crimes by taking out civilians.
Regarding this Alice...what someone failed to get, is that this man Roger was more than likely willing to attend to her, and become at least one of her attendants or caregivers, in exchange for a place to live. She could have possibly had one or 2 others as well, and could have stayed in her home. By deciding for her to move her out of her own home, and meddling, and..this is actually the root of the ensuing difficulties...this Roger guy would more than likely stuck by her, do her shopping, etc, as well as any number of additional tasks...ok ?
idk! Repay evil with kindness sounds Jesus good but what about righteous anger? I recently had an experience with very awful mow & blow gardners. They completely ruined my beautiful landscape, and this was not the first time. I rent. I was devastated not only because of my time and money i invested but because the birds lost their homes and my elderly neighbor who i share property with is also effected. One time i saw him do something really bad and when he left i picked up this item he intended for bad and i through it in the trash. I get so angry towards him because he's bad. I dont like the way i was thinking about how to get him back. The next morning i thought how i could do something nice for him, and i felt released! After watching this videos i get it! Praise to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ! 🙏
Thanks for this lesson. I have a temper. I am also walking in temperance, and self control. But recently I punched a pervert and because of the perception of me being "controversial", I was judged as a villain. Bless God, I forgave myself after that, knowing that God forgave me. However, I am battling with the repentance part of it because feel/felt "righteous". Please pray. Thanks for explaining Abiligale's example.
Enjoyed your videos, But I think every situation requires a different response. Always try kindness first. Sometimes that works. But sometimes people see that as a green light to walk all over you and treat you worse in time. There are times you have to set boundaries with people. Whenever Roger spoke to your wife on the phone disrespectfully, I think you should have stepped in and set boundaries with him right then and there. But instead he saw that he could continue his behavior. Every situation calls for different responses. That's just my opinion. But it can always be done respectfully and without anger and losing your witness. i see our society lessening in conscience and people don't respond to kindness the way they used to. These are all my opinions.
I wish he’d get to the point he goes on and on instead of getting to what we want to hear bin fact god never asks us to enable someone like this guy to continue using us
I'm glad a lot of people are seeing through this. The idea that you can get thoughtless abusers to cry a rainbow tear and transform into nice people by a small act of thoughtfulness, is usually not realistic.
What should you do if you are like me as a second-hand smoker? Am I supposed to love the smoker? The smoker is my neighbor. Every single day, I have to smell her smoke. I can’t open my windows and doors for years. I’ve done a lot of what you just talked about… being kind…cooking food…sending treats… but nothing has changed … frustrated
What do you do about the MEAN EVIL person upstairs who FINALLY stopped stomping over your head (police interference) but moved in hackers? My phones are hacked, cameras and listening devices installed. They broke into my apartment to do this. Now they follow me to eery room to watch me. I am trying to find another apt but cannot afford most of the asking prices.
How do handle the person , if you are Nice to them, when he is hurting you , and even though your being nice to him he still continues to hurt me, ( Tortures Me), ?????
Also abigail probably had children in the house who she was concerned about. Also David had several wives already so I'm sure she didn't live happily ever after.
I’m not Christian and I don’t intend to be but this is the kind of bible study I can get behind. We had a local baptist reverend who used to come to school to tell bible stories about being good to people. Didn’t make me believe in god but it did reinforce my belief in being good to others. It refreshing to see this kind of preaching instead of the hateful trash many so called “Christians” go shouting around. Ironically Jesus (or at least my understanding of bible Jesus) would have condemned that kind of behaviour.
@NH thank you so much for sharing. I am glad this message encouraged you. I think your understanding of who Jesus is, is spot on. - Sarah from the Your Move team
Where are these "Christians going around shouting hateful trash"? That is like .001% of Christians I would bet? And I bet the tiny amount of that that you've actually heard, was not even truly hateful. You've fallen for the group delusion and stereotype.
Andy, when we repay good to evil, subconsciously or consciously we are doing this in hopes they will “see the light “ and stop being mean. They don’t, they only filter in deeper like water in a crack, with control, and degradation. So I’m not sure option 3 is sustainable, humanly speaking. IMO, Jesus is speaking on “repay good with evil” in Kabbalic/Essene terms. Why would you repay evil with good or be kind to your neighbor or go the extra mile? Because when your doing these acts of Hesed, your doing them NOT FOR God but TO God.

I love you ministry and your sense of humor. Our God has such a sense of humor. Thank you for your ministry. God's amazing grace and love.
I so needed this today. Thank you 🙏
I have a situation right now where I can apply this. Perfect

If your nice to mean people, they start to think you a stupid fool.
Yep you are right. This sermon sounds nice, but it's not realistic.
They got this thoughtless jerk to move out by baking him muffins. Give me a break.
First 10 mins is recap of part 2. 👍 If that helps anyone.
Thank you for this video
Beautiful lesson.
Very good message and very encouraging!!

I can do better but I've started to pray for the mean people!!

A bait and switch to preach the bible?
But a very good life lesson. The Bible is the best place to learn those.
Thanks again 😘
