Vespene Gas it's in dishonored 2, after you leave stilton' s house. the outsider lays on the very table right in front if the knife. and he was only a 15 year old boy when he died. the story describes the outsider as a "creature of insatiable curiosity" which is why he pulls people he thinks are "interesting" into the void and marks them. it's for his entertainment.
I completely lost my shit when this was featured. We get to see the rogue assassins Daud and Billie back together once again. But how exactly are they going to kill someone as godly as the Outsider? I'm looking forward to this.

When I played Dishonored 2, i pretty much forgot everything about Dishonored 1, but I love the series. I think my game bugged out on the ending though. I know I didn't want to kill the guy, I think he said something like "you can kill me or just take the keys", so when I took the keys, he turned aggro and I had no choice but to kill him lol If Meagan is Billie, why is she helping Corvo in no.2, considering she helped kill the empress/kidnap Emily?
The cool part is that the outsider sees all, he sees all of time and all its possibilites and he has seen his own death. So if the outsider dies at the hand of daud/billy, then he knew it all along and did nothing to stop it because he knew it was inevitable
That is a very high possibility. Due to how players were able to play as both Emily and Corvo. Now that Billie has powers of her own we will most likely be able to play as both.
Judging by the trailer, it would be cool to have maybe 1 short mission at the beginning of the game while we play as billie, then after we rescue daud we could have the option to chose which one we continue the game as.
Actually, they are standalone DLCs I think. Look at Wolfenstein The New Order dlc - "The Old Blood". It was also standalone but it was obviously a DLC, content for a couple of hours only.

Billie's powers don't appear to be wild, or ambitious; sleek, or ethereal. Billie's talents are pragmatic and sharp, worn but effective- like the sparks born from the clash between rusted steel.

Always hated how Duad blamed the Outsider for all the chaos when he's the one who killed the Empress for a bit of coin. The Outsider gave him the abilities of the Void but he didn't put him on the path of assassinating people for profit. The Outsider isn't good nor evil... Just neutral; who only talks to folks that spark his interest. I'm glad that we don't have to kill him; The Outsider isn't to blame for Dishonored's world of misfortune and plague. That can be dropped on Duad and his assassins.
The Outsider enabled people like Granny Rags, Daud, and Delilah to augment their corruption with magical powers, leading to the deaths of Jessamine compounded with many innocents after the Lord Regent as well as Delilah took the throne. And just look at how easily Corvo could have become a mass murderer. The Outsider gives an unfair advantage to people he typically finds interesting or ambitious, not to people who necessarily have the moral sense to use his powers for good. Only an Outsider who grants powers to morally good and heroic people who have the potential to affect positive change in the world should be allowed to exist.

We've had the rat plague, which was Hiram Borrows fault. We've had the death of the empress, which Daud himself did. And we have had Delilah's coup. You could say the Outsider is indirectly behind the last two cus they involved mark bearers. But he's also *directly* behind the solution to the first two (giving Corvo powers) and he helped with Delilah, both in D1 by sending Daud after her before she possessed Emily, and in D2 by offering to bestow the mark on the player.
Well, he's neutral in terms of all the marked characters, but he really doesn't care how much chaos he throws the world into as long as he's entertained. He's the perfect bored Chaotic Neutral with the ability to give people superpowers- what makes him charming to players makes him horrifying to anyone he has sway over.
Because if the outsider didn't intervene in the world by giving individuals power Jesamine would still be alive(Daud managed to kill her only because he had the powers and Corvo didn't) and Delilah's coup wouldn't take place

Okay so a few quick observations; (MAJOR DISHONORED 2 SPOILERS) Billie seems to be wielding the sword used by the people (overseers) that killed the outsider when he was a kid and turned him into a god. The wanted poster seems to be in the same styling as those used in Karnaca (how convenient that Daud's been so close by.) Billie seems to have lost her arm and eye again (assuming that the 'knock out Aramis Stilton' solution is cannon for the mission in his mansion), though it feels much more likely that it's simply cannon that the player lets Aramis loose his mind (oh well!)
Maybe it will play off of main game decisions. Oh and Im pretty sure that Daud is from Serkonos, so that would make sense if they were in Karnaca or somewhere nearby
Great point! I'd forgotten about that. I'm just happy to see more locations from Serkonos and learn more about one of my favorite franchises! I wonder how porting over actions from the main game would work being that there is the NG+ mode and this is going to be a stand-alone release.
I don't know about the posters, but the building's interior design seems like something from Dunwall to me, not Serkonos. And it'd be nice if the game state of Billie changed depending on your playthrough of Dishonored 2, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. But hey, if it did we'd miss out on the Lurkinator look she has going so... lol

Arkane just keep doing it again and again, in the meanwhile being one of my fav game devs. Dishonored 1 DLC was awesome on so many levels and now seeing Dauds Story so well enveloped in Billies and Dishonored 2s Story is just awesome. Trailer was awesome as well. "Good to see you old man", "Up for one last job?", "Were gonna kill the outsider" - Goosebumps.

Daud will always be #1 I'd play a whole game as him. If anything they just need to make his transversal (Blink) more like it is when you fight him.

Dishonored 1 has only one canon ending, and Dishonored 2 is a contunation of that canon. Same for DOTO

The Outsider: Well, I suppose it's time for my boss fight. Get ready, noobs, cuz I'm the boss that teleports, summons minions and mini bosses, and had an unblockable one-shot attack.

Okay so a few quick observations; (MAJOR DISHONORED 2 SPOILERS)
Billie seems to be wielding the sword used by the people (overseers) that killed the outsider when he was a kid and turned him into a god.
The wanted poster seems to be in the same styling as those used in Karnaca (how convenient that Daud's been so close by.)
Billie seems to have lost her arm and eye again (assuming that the 'knock out Aramis Stilton' solution is cannon for the mission in his mansion), though it feels much more likely that it's simply cannon that the player lets Aramis loose his mind (oh well!)
Maybe it will play off of main game decisions. Oh and Im pretty sure that Daud is from Serkonos, so that would make sense if they were in Karnaca or somewhere nearby
Great point! I'd forgotten about that. I'm just happy to see more locations from Serkonos and learn more about one of my favorite franchises! I wonder how porting over actions from the main game would work being that there is the NG+ mode and this is going to be a stand-alone release.

I don't know about the posters, but the building's interior design seems like something from Dunwall to me, not Serkonos. And it'd be nice if the game state of Billie changed depending on your playthrough of Dishonored 2, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. But hey, if it did we'd miss out on the Lurkinator look she has going so... lol
well the link in the description says it's in karnaca. and it wasn't overseers that did the ritual. it was before they even existed. it was just an occult making a sacrifice for the void.

This goes two ways.
1) The Outsider just laughs, snaps his fingers, and those two idiots ate chained in the void and pecked to death by crows every day.
2) He humors them, makes them think he's dead and then just 'aight, bored again' and starts appearing in their dreams or something. Laughs at Daud for letting him down once again.

I feel like "The black-eyed bastard himself" would have been much much better than "The black-eyed bastard responsible for all the chaos" it just felt too long. And yes I am only complaining about that because there is nothing else to complain about.

Just throwing this out there, maybe the Outsider WANTS to be killed or rendered mortal again. After all he has been around for 4000+ years and seems (at least in my opinion) a bit tired of everything. Barring Corvo, Daud, Emily, and Billie at least. Of course, he would resist either because it is more amusing that way or because he wants someone interesting and worthy to end him. Actually that would be an interesting non-lethal elimination: refuse to kill him like he wants but bring him down to mortal level again so he can experience the chaos he's caused. Random musings.

Arkane just keep doing it again and again, in the meanwhile being one of my fav game devs. Dishonored 1 DLC was awesome on so many levels and now seeing Dauds Story so well enveloped in Billies and Dishonored 2s Story is just awesome. Trailer was awesome as well. "Good to see you old man", "Up for one last job?", "Were gonna kill the outsider" - Goosebumps.

And I highly doubt they are just going to flip the game on its head and take away that option. My stomach flipped and my heart sank when I heard this was announced. I'm ∞∞∞ Not chill with this game- although the only takeaway I have for it is that since the Outsider's name is in the d*amn title that he has to in it a LOT right?!?!?! RIGHT?! Also, I think there should be an option to play AS the Outsider. I think that would be interesting. Aside from all of that- I restate this: How about we DON'T kill the outsider? ^^;
