- Oh my gosh we have the most EPIC and geeky 48 hours exploring Tokyo Japan! First we head to Sunshine city and visit the largest Gashapon capsule store, before trying our first cheese fondue and doria
We then hit up Akihabara in the coolest vintage arcade shop before ending our time having our first drink in a traditional Japanese izakaya

So what's the average cost of a gashabon or are they all different prices?
@@dalayneygirl8059depending on the popularity and quality, the anime and small gachapon usually around 300 yen to 500 yen ($3-$5). Though I had seen 200 yen but it’s already so rare. Then there are more gachapon stuff that are price between 1000-2000 yen ($10-20) this is more like lucky gachapon stuff, the items varied from clothes, hat, electronics stuff like usb cable to mini flashlight and then if you lucky: an iPhone and such.
Yup every time I visit the East Asian countries, I will take some home lol, Japan, China and Korea had a huge selection, also Singapore and lately here in Indonesia capital city, I see gachapon machine popping up😊

Hands down, this is my favourite Japan travel series I've seen on RUclips. As I said in my comment from travel day, you are clearly coming to Japan with equal levels of enthusiasm and knowledge. The fact you're pixelating the faces of people in the back is a level of cultural knowledge that I see VERY rarely from vloggers who don't live in Japan. I am so impressed and happy. Every vlog has triggered wonderful memories of my time living in Japan, which is a wonderful feeling. I completely forgot about Sunshine City but I remember spending MANY weekends there spending stupid amounts of money.
Also, you mentioned wishing you could have a whole suitcase, and honestly, look into Japan Post options. Mailing things home is pretty easy. I did a quick search, and you send a 20kg box home for about 11,000円 by surface mail. It's worth looking up how much it would cost to have an extra suitcase vs sending home.
Oh my gosh this is a huge huge compliment thank you so much! Sunshine city is such a good place to venture for a rainy day! We were there alllll day and we still only covered two floors lol 😅 so many things to see and do!

I love your Japan Vlog! I am a Japanese and I'm so happy that you have interest in our placement and culture! I highly recommend to go to Pokemon Cafe @ Nihonbashi, and also try to visit Ghibli Museum @ Mitaka. You need to book the ticket and time for both of placements but there is wonderful place! Oh, and Tokyo station has a lot of fun things.

We made the mistake to go to sunshine city on a weekend and that gachapon place was fiillleeeed with people! You couldnt even see the gacha machines while walking through the aisles. It's a great spot, and if you plane on going avoid the weekends or local holidays!
There's also an amazing ramen spot in the sunshine city called Chukasoba Aoba that I highly recommend!
Anyways, great video! Sunshine city is a must and Ikebukuro has the best claw machines :3

we use to have these as kids growing up. they were in the front of kmart here in America. they were a bit smaller and sometimes had like stickers in them or i remember one had like football helmets that i use to collect (hated football dont know why i collected them lol), spice girl stuff, and pokemon. but id turn the capsules into cat toys by putting beads into them. It's weird to me that people treat this like a new thing. they didnt look like these though it looked more like a gumball machine with that red top and metal turn knob.
Yes we had the metal ones too! The prizes were rubbish where I lived though ahaha and tiny 🤣😆 these are next level! 🥹🥹🥹 I remember getting rings in the ones in the UK!

I know you mentioned cosplaying, but a lot of the unique stuff you see you might also be able to snag at a con. Artists alleys have unique stuff, but vendors usually import and get stuff direct from Japan. I got a super high quality Pokémon plushies from 2 cons with Japanese tags on them. They were pricey. But it was worth it.
You might also be able to order that stuff online too!
Heheh yep! Whenever we go to cons we see a lot of this stuff 🥹🌸 (it’s normally 4x the price tho lol)
