This is perfection... PSB are one of the greatest ever... Second to none in music history...
This and "Love is a Bourgeois Construct" are my faves from Electric, The two tracks that really fit into the "classic" Pet Shop Boys" pantheon.
Axis is another great track from the Electric album.

This is simply fantastic summer track! Flawless production and eiphoric tune, I truly believe it's one of the greatest tracks Stuart Price ever done and PSB as well.
When I got the Electric album, this was toward the bottom of the list of my favorite songs.
But after finally upgrading my sound system at home, good god this is now my favorite from the album. Just those beautiful synths, Chris Lowe is a legend!

Not everyone could get away with such a heavy borrowing, but they somehow can. Brilliant sound, brilliant lyrics on the top of it, awesome chorus (I love that high pitched sound that keeps coming). They haven't made only greatness in recent years, but everything on Electric deifinitely is !

Love this. It is like PSB have gotten their mojo back. This feels as fresh as when they first hit the charts with West End Girls in 1986, as fresh and better than ever, stronger, more funky, danceable and futuristic and lots of their original fun, quirkiness back thank goodness!!...after years of a little too much experimentation (with not enough funky electro beats like this). Predict this will be huge worldwide:-)...this song and the album Electric!

My favourite track off the album!
This should have been on Refn's "Neon Demon". Fits perfectly. Refn once asked the Pet Shop Boys to compose a soundtrack for them being a fan of theirs. But they declined because he couldn't have afforded them. Instead, they gave him permission to use of of their songs in one of his movies for a very modest fee.

I thought the same! I'd like to think that the Pet Shop Boys wanted to make this song sound a bit more uptempo and happier. That's why it's not fading into something gray but fluorescent! :)

I am REALLY looking forward to this CD, but I think the "return" of the Pet Shop Boys was Yes, their strongest CD since Very. The mid 90s was their apex with Very, Bilingual and Nightlife. And I think Fundamental is possibly their most underrated album.

Lots of people are mentioning Visage but to me the verse melody sounds very evocative of an earlier PSB song. I think it's Tonight is Forever - compare the melody of "Money's short, time is tight" to "Brighter and brighter, and brighter you burn". It could even be another song altogether but it definitely seems to echo a previous track.
