So, just a note for everyone to remember: panharmonicon is a complete non-bo with almost all the eldrazi, since all their triggers are on cast, not on entering the battlefield.
This also applies to how roaming throne is a very expensive card to double triggers on a removal magnet commander that will not double cast triggers. It will double annihilator, assuming it is still around by then. I know any deck I have one of these in, it never makes it more than one or two turn cycles
@@daylearmstrong4447 That is incorrect. Throne doubles "triggers". Eldrazi use cast triggers
@@LeBlueTheLax of creatures you control of the chosen type, they aren't in play yet so they don't meet the criteria. At the time of triggering they are a spell, not a creature permanent which is what roaming throne checks for
**Edit**
I keep editing this to try and clarify the point so lemme just use an example. In order for Roaming Throne to copy say, the cast trigger from Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, so you can exile four permanents, it would need the specific wording on Echoes of Eternity which says "If a triggered ability of a colorless spell you control or another colorless permanent you control triggers, that ability triggers an additional time." This specifies spells causing triggers so that Eldrazi cast triggers can double. Roaming Throne checks for a permanent type, creature, that is in play under your control. It does not check for creatures spells. Roaming Throne *will* double Ulalek's trigger from you casting other spells letting you copy the cast triggers with Ulalek's ability, and you may personally find this worth it, but I don't
@@LeBlueTheLax no it does not. Roaming throne only affect creatures, not creature SPELL. Roaming throne says: Trigger of creature you control. It will thereford only affecte creature on the battlefield.
@JamesDM4 it will double your commander trigger
Good video you said everything I was was thinking when I saw the deck list and thought about.
Great presentation style, thanks for explaining!
Some cards I’m surprised to not see mention here is Imoti who gives all cmc 6+ cards cascade and Monstrous Vortex who gives power 5+ cards discover equal to their cmc.
Combined with zhuladok and possibly Abaddon, you can have up to 4 cards giving your big Eldrazi cascade to copy up on with zhuladok.
I know I’m building it as all cast trigger storm with only Eldrazi that have cast triggers or things that give cast triggers. Things like Kozileks unsealing or Sarkhans Unsealing. So many fun things to do. Darksteel Monolith is an absolute must with all the flash components. You can go so hard with this deck and I’m excited to try it out.
What about Skittering Cicada from the Commander Masters precon? As a flash effect.
It can easily 1-shot a player when comboing off.
and also Urza's Battlethopter
As long as you have the mana to pay for ulalek triggers
As long as you have the mana to pay for ulalek triggers
@@Genesis4119 i put both in mine. gotta make sure you have flash at all times
Ulalek enjoys kozeleks unsealing and echos of eternity.
Good stuff much fun.
The pain lands are a good option to have access to colorless and your colors
actually all 10 are reprints in the precon so no need to add them in if you get the precon
I built an aggro mothman deck that uses +1/+1 counter synergies, using cards I had lying around and its quite fun. I would love to see your take on the buzzboi.
Just started the video, haven’t gotten all the way through. Wouldn’t Annie Joins Up just go infinite by doubling the ulalek trigger to copy itself by copying the second trigger? (If mana is needed, copying basalt monolith untap ability even once goes infinite with Annie)
Yes, it would
something i will say about this precon is it seems very split, half is traditional eldrazi, so big spells big mana that you copy with ulalek. the other half is scion and spawn tokens which the second commander (Azlask) cares about. so i think the first thing to do is identify which of those two strategies you want to follow.
I'm struggling with this. I want to use ulallek to copy things so I have doubling season in there. But I don't want it to focus too much on the scions... I currently have to cut 12 cards and I don't know what to do! 🤣🤣🤣😭☠️
Please add mothman next week! Love your takes on deck building man, thank you!
I see blue and white so ima add rhystic study teferis protection and smoothening tithe and counter spells and green so mana ramp
You might have already considered it but Basalt Monolith is a very easy way to make Ulalek infinite using any Eldrazi and any other Eldrazi with flash or a kindred instant.
Alchemist's Refuge might be also a good pick, colorless produces and UG repeatable flash
I’d like to see that mothman build
A card to consider that I am planning to use in ulalek: spreading plague. If you make sure all of your eldrazi have devoid, it answers boards so quickly and so easily, especially against mono colored decks.
Read card explains card
sort of
Why are people hating this deck?
Because "its an bad deck"
I agree that its a letdown in some of the cards that they put in the creature slots, but not DOWNRIGHT BAD deck.
Because we wanted some titans and some big eldrazi and they did not deliver
@@ruelfighter3642 But its precon, so its supposed to give you the cards to start off a deck to make better, so in that realm its an amazing deck
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Of course it's not a perfect deck, don't know why people are surprised. If the Eldrazi were any better it'd be busted
The price mostly for me. The value inside the deck isn’t even close to the decks contents.
Heliod that's transforms is good because it gives all Nonland spells flash an reduces the cost for each card a opponents draws
Would love to see how your mothman compares to the way I built it
Do devoid cards count as colorless spells. Takes colored mana to cast but is colorless on the stack, would Liberator Urza,s Battlethopter or Skittering Cicada work well for this deck? Thnx
If the card reads ‘devoid’ then it is treated as a colorless even if it costs a specific color to cast ^.^ hope that helps
I know this is super cool. I’m gonna get the precon. However this may go into the “I never get to play my commander” bin, cause people will start catching on
Can you blame them though? Ulakek just goes crazy with so many cards
Chimil the inner sun and Asceticism.
MOTHMAN MOTHMAN MOTHMAN!
I'm planning to make this my colorless deck by only using colorless and devoid
Barrowgoyf is a neat mothman add from these commander decks
I reckon fist of sun is great. Combo that with morophon and your eldrazi creatures are cast for free
Morophon the Boundless + Fist of Suns
118.9d If an alternative cost is being paid to cast a spell, any additional costs, cost increases, and cost reductions that affect that spell are applied to that alternative cost. (See rule 601.2f.)
Cryptic gateway or defense of the heart
For sure want to see mothman!!
My favorite addition to my Ulalek is Possibility Storm, who doesnt love more free eldrazi
Also jodah is like an auto include right, removes legendary keyword.....
What about eye of ugin
The biggest issue i can see is the social bit, which you can't really fix. For example, if I see Ulakek in the command zone, you can guarantee I'm holding up some sort of removal for when it drops. The moment Ulakek gets to "do the thing" everything is gonna go to shit for everyone else at the table.
Why would that matter even remotely? Deck runs Fierce defiance, swat, maneuver, and other protection spells. Why would social elements matter even remotely with this raw power.
Vedalken Orrery Vedalken Orrery Vedalken Orrery Vedalken Orrery Vedalken Orrery Vedalken Orrery
I have been looking him over and i cant figure out the wording on how his triggering works. I do know with him, im going crazy token generation with Annointed Procession, Doubling Season, and Paralell lives, then throwing in Dark Depths to combo off of Mutated Cultist and im kinda looking at Ulamog, the Defiler. I hope it works as good as i think it does.
I don’t think annointed will work. Remember you are copying the spell not creating a token.
@lightgren8ds267 right but a copy is a token, play a colorless creature, create a copy copy is a token, so I figure it would work. In reality I have no idea, his ability confuses me.
Dude. The deck isn't even out yet. No one can play it "incorrectly" yet.
Winding Canyons might be even better than Emergence Zone as you don‘t have to sacrifice it
Mothman!
best way to use henge is cast your spell, stack the henge mana activated ability, then stack your henge triggered ability, then trigger ulalek copying all abilities and copying the eldrazi spell....its unreal powerful and ulalek will see alot of misplays
You can't put the mana ability on the stack, it just resolves immediately upon use
chromatic orrery
Moth hammmmmm
I don't care what people think about... Another auto include for me is Raised by Giants... I can't handle my supreme Eldrazi God been a 2/5 instead of a Giant 10/10 at least. It's the minimum I can handle
This card looks ban able
Already cancelled all my MH3 precons preorder... I'm out of the shit, and feels fantastic.
I'm disappointed in the deck list. It can't beat my eldrazi deck which does not have the included Commander Master stuff at all.
With all due respect, your suggestions and the way you tall about Ulaleks ability show you dont know how it works. For instance, when talking about flash enablers you mention casting the flash speed cards after you have an ulalek trigger to copy them all. Doesnt work that way. As soon as you cast the eldrazi spell, the ulalek trigger goes on top of it in the stack. Then, if you follow up with more flash cards, they will resolve before the ulalek trigger that doubles the stack, so they wont be doubled. Plus you recommended Panharmonicon for a cast trigger deck. Dude. This isnt even the first time Ive seen rules miscomprehension in your videos. Know your stuff before you mislead people please. Its already hard enough to follow how a deck like this works without people confusing viewers.
Keep in mind that Ulalek only pays 2 to copy "Eldrazi" spells
Bruh, reading the card explains the card. It literally says “copy ALL spells you control”. Eldrazi cards are only the trigger
Stopped after the immediate insult to play knowledge
Wrong commander ! Ulalek sucks
Bro same. Azlask is fucking sweet
I think Azlask is definitely the more eye catching of the two but after messing around with building around the cards I think I underestimated how cool Ulalek can be. Ulalek is nice because it generate more value and lives in your command zone. Azlask does not help you if you are running low on cards or things to do. Ulalek allows you to dump mana into making copies of small eldrazi when your running low on cards. Azlask though has such a cool build-around activated ability.
Ulalek is the big baddie commander, Azlask is only if your going to heavy into tokens, otherwise it sucks. Ulalek def has more versatility.
This dude is annoying
This precon sucks
I like how you just insult something you don't like without giving any examples of why.
There is always one person in every comment section @NekoSauce
@@NekoSauce If you were able to use the mushy fat in your skull you'd be able to figure out for yourself why it sucks, rather than immediately jumping to demanding someone else do the work for you. Good luck.
