Yes, I live about an hour away Cuyahoga County. Been going there for the last 25 years with my family in our campers. Love Put In Bay, Marblehead and everything else around Cedar Point and Sandusky.

Boat Test reports always say something about a boat's ride and handling. This report has nothing to say about the 38 SAV's ride or handling. I wonder if that means it is a harsh ride? Squirrely in turns? Wet?

Something to consider. This boat gets .7mpg at 43mph. A Solace 41 with diesels gets 1.2mpg @ 43mph.

Similar in concept to Finnish boats like the Axopar

I like the Axopars but they're more apt to take a partial wave over the bow in heavy seas, as seen on one of the Haulover Inlet channels here on RUclips. They have lower forward freeboard with little to no bow flare. The Jeanneau NC Sport series of boats have similar multifunction capabilities that Capt. Steve highlighted in this great Regal boat except having a pilothouse layout. Maybe Regal offers a pilot house config, as I would prefer to purchase a boat built in my home country. :-)

@@DA-qe9py the world is so completely globalised that the desire to buy something home built goes out of the window.
My boat is French, my car is German, my wife’s car is Japanese and my motorbike is German. Nothing that is my country home built lights my fire.
And just for your amusement and the fact I’m not USA based; I’ve owned three Harleys and a Buell. Fun though the Harley’s were they are pretty useless in England’s country roads. I rode my last Harley (a 2004 Heritage Softail) around Ireland three years ago. I sold it within two days of getting back home. Somethings work well in some markets, some don’t. Don’t knock the Axopar until you’ve tried it, it truly is a very capable vessel.

These items appear to be getting really "tight"(fantastic fit and finish) all of a sudden and Industry wide. Been making a quick glance of CenterConsoleOnly as my secondary source and Fort Lauderdale Boats BoatShow work there.
Hard to get noticed on RUclips at the moment given the awesome volume of quality content suddenly so anything right out on the water "with all cameras a-blazin!"(so to speak, no violence meant but just the opposite) seems like the way to go. Straight up "out of time" at the moment and given this being the selling season absolutely. "We'll see your boat out on the water or the USA customer will not be seeing your boat in their driveway, slip" etc is my view of the importance of the manufacturers getting RUclips producers "right."
Once this channel hits one million subscribers... and it will...they'll start ahem "getting it" so to speak ahem. (The difference between staying in business and being bankrupted, *LIQUIDATION.* )
