  • Hello Lemons, for this video we will talk about if it is worth it to be an Accountant in another country! After nearly a year since I passed the CPA Board Examination, I am now working in Singapore to prepare for my higher education. For this video, I placed different videos filmed in Singapore as well as in Papua New Guinea.
    I will be here in Singapore indefinitely, so if you are here, let me know so we can meet! :)

    Alam mo, random ko lang naisip musta life ng accountant / accounting professional sa ibang bansa...you're the first nakita at pinanood...pero mas ng-impact sakin ang "decision making for a better life". Medyo na trigger ako to be kind to myself and have goal again.
    I'm not CPA kaya di ko pa maeexperience ang ganyan privilege to work abroad. Accountancy graduate but not license. Working more than 10 yrs. Curious tlga ako who's working abroad.

      Actually you can work abroad kahit hindi CPA. May colleagues ako from the same company na hindi CPA but they are here in SG also.
      But honestly, kanya kanyang journey rin kasi depende din talaga sa life goals mo and being happy where we are but still aiming for the best. 🙏

      Thank you!
      For that, it depends, for mine kasi special case since specialized field ako (not CPA but accounting related in advisory like automation). But my CPA license did help because added credential siya which increased my chances of getting in I think.
      Yung majority usually sa mga sikat na websites and maybe you can try LinkedIn also.

    Hello po, Sir Lemon. Sir ask ko lang po kung nag-work din po ba kayo sa top accounting firm sa Philippines po. Tsaka ask ko na rin sir kung magkano yung possible starting salary ng fresh grad at non CPA sa Philippines po hehe? Thanks po

    • @KuyaLemon
      @KuyaLemon  Год назад +1

      Yes, I worked sa Top accounting firm actually but I can't disclose my salary previously.
      Although, what I can share based on other friends for salary in different top Firms (I never asked a non-CPA of their salary) but my friends who are CPAs get around 20-28k depending on the Department. I think lowest paying yung Audit, then Tax, then highest usually is Advisory but highest would be the Strategic Advisory based on what I hear. So if non-CPA, most likely lower or equal.
      So honestly, starting pay is low. Very low. Mas mataas pa yung salary ng friends ko na hindi Accounting tbh. That's why aside from the board exams, yung low salary and high difficulty naman ng practice yung challenge. So it really takes dedication and love for what you do to survive.
      If you're looking for high pay in the field, I suggest you join a Department that is technology related. :)

    • @KuyaLemon
      @KuyaLemon  Год назад +1

      Although, some Firms even pay as low as 15k so it depends on the Firm and Department mostly.
