Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good ruclips.net/user/postUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.
Life is way too short to not follow your dreams. I'm happy to see young people go out and do the things that make them happy. Proud of you in your endeavors.
Get yourself a container or a tuff shed to store all your stuff for when you leave for the summer. The critters will move in as soon as your not there to keep them out. Your whole set up will look like your cot when you get back. Your camp is starting to look nice.
Those crows aren’t fighting they’re mates. They mate for life. They’re super smart and cool if you give them time to get to know you. Give them so food and they’ll start to bring you gifts.
Love your set up. I've seen a few others do a diesel heater at night in their cabins in addition to the wood stove for day time so they don't have to get up in the middle of the night. Just an idea. Also you seem like an extrovert so it seems important for you to be around people often so you can get energy out. I hope you're going into town or getting around people often for this reason. Thanks for sharing your journeys with us.
My grown nephew is a major RC nerd, too! He would fit right in with you and Brian! 😅 If you feed them those ravens will become friendly! My husband's Grams used to hand feed a pair in her back yard 😊
I really like how your property is so big and you can do so much with it. I"m waiting for you to build your 2 bedroom cabin with porch! that would be epic!
I don't blame you for being so dang happy about the bed. I remember the feeling of going from sleeping on the ground to an actual bed for the first time in years! Your body will thank you (if it hasn't already). Betcha the new bed set up is really going to be heaven sent during the winter! Nice and Coze, You and Kodes! You're tent set up looks and feels like a tiny home! It's SO nice! Love seeing you have it all organized and your things in place. Little PB&J it's not mine 🤣 Glad to see you having fun and goofing around on your property. Such a big kid at heart, I love it.
First, I would clear the sightlines. I would clean branches up each trunk to walk under without eye-pokes. This also expands the visual and visceral openness of the camp. . Who do you know with a mulcher, Morbark-style? Wood-chip paths around the area, directing the eye toward appealing views?
There will come a time in your life when a good night's sleep is an overlander requirement. I use a 6 inch cot sized folding mattress now, it's been a 4 mattress journey, but I think I have acheived that elusive size/comfort scenario for myself. A good night's sleep is something of a requirement for getting things done the next day. On another note, have you considered using your Shiftpod for a garage/storage area? Seems like a good use for it, and should have all the durability you need.
really like the setup what you should do go to scrap yard computer etc can always find smaller house wood stoves then you can close the damper when going to bed. If planning on staying in 1 spot for awhile it will be well worth it use way less wood in house wood stove
I don't know if you know this, but crows are SUPER smart and remember people's faces even. If you started feeding it regularly, it'd become your friend fast and sometimes they even start bringing gifts!
the fire was ripping outside. the bed looks nice. do you have a dedicated channel for behind the scenes like the rc unboxings/maintenance or when you set things up with a time lapse.
Not sure if you thought about this but i see some comments below about storage, your pop up topper would be really easy to set up so that one of your main tent windows could open and have that accessible storage or small addition to tent space (mini mansion tent) lol
Heck yeah he is, I'm stoked to see Phil rocking the hot tent at his place! Headed over there tomorrow to set up my tent and kick it for the weekend. Get ready for some livestreams full of shenanigans!

Glad someone's comment encouraged you to do some cleaning chores around the property. It was starting to get..let's just say disorganized. Take a look at the cost of a steel shipping container or two or three or four.... The creative mind is just that. From simple storage to garage to a living space. That can be as simple and or creative as you desire. Securable and long lasting. Can be plumbed with electricity and water... heated and cooled.. rodents have less ability to get in. I fully understand and appreciate your nomadic lifestyle. But it seems like you are starting to feel and see having a good "base" is nice as well. Great deals on steel open floor plan buildings. Size is dependent on needs and bank account. But interior configuration is a blank sheet of paper. That offers living and storage space. You have a great opportunity there to retain your freedom and nomadic lifestyle. As well as establish a great base of grid. As much fun as the tent is I strongly suggest gatting a solid container type of setup for security when you leave for the summer both against rodents and unwanted visitors.Leave a property alone long enough, someone WILL break into it. A container, shed or cabin is ALOT harder to break into than a tent. You worked too hard to get what you have for some asshole to just come by and take your shit. Just saying.
