It's still in its infancy and not authorized by the FADA since it's not "medicine", meaning anything chemical, etc., put into the body. They can't regulate your own stem cells, something your body makes on its own and is purified, then reintroduced back into your body. Basically, they can't make any $ off of it currently like they can surgery and pain medication. That's why only the "top tier" patients have been aware of it until now. Hopefully, they will continue to push for less evasive procedures like this for patients that are candidates for this type of treatment.
