I don't understand why some of you say this doesn't sound like Mura Masa when it has his vibes written all over. It sounds like an upgraded version of Lotus Eater.

Nah at 1:42 he would have dropped into a majestically complicated rhythm with glitchy sounds with an acoustic sounding element included. All he needs is to include that acoustic element.
Lotus Eater will always be my favorite song from Mura Masa. Its majestic and exotic atmosphere sounds so traditional to me, from a tradition that I don't even know. I remember in sixth grade, I left it on repeat for the night, and my phone overheated. Afterward, I realized that every song of his makes your brain addicted to his unique style.
I would love to hear a collaboration between him and Masego someday

@@savions4005 and there's nothing wrong with that, it's OK to acknowledge that there is a diversity of listeners/fans. What is important, in my humble opinion, is that the artist is comfortable/confident enough to emanicpate themselves from pleasing the fans (or some fans) and decide to do what's good for them regardless of expectations and critiques
Sometimes you gotta accept that the artists you loved had a sound that they out grew, and found a new audience and its not you anymore. and thats okay. because their old work is still there and its not going anywhere.

Apparently nostalgia is affecting many people in a negative way, honestly the mura masa from before is really good and the one from now is also, only that it is evolving to new sounds because the truth is that this song reminds me a lot of his album R.Y.C. but you don't have to go back to the old sound from before, everyone has their tastes but staying with the things of the past and squeezing them until they no longer make sense seems really overwhelming to me and that is what everyone is doing today with nostalgia .

Fashion question. Is the 90's styling a deliberate choice for the video or has 90s fashion come back this strong. I know there were 90s bit of fashion creeping back but this is HEAVY 90s.
