Uppsala is part of Uppland, like the AI said, Uppland is a region and Uppsala is the regions "capital" for lack of better translation coming to mind (2:30 area)
1:38 Geoguesspr 1:58 Geoguesstr 2:58 Geoguessr 4:08 Geoguessr 12:49 Geoguessor 15:52 Geoguessoooorrrr It got the pronunciation right *some* of the times at least.
To help the AI interactions go better, I would recommend testing different written "prep" prompts that you can enter in before jumping into the game. I imagine you've nailed down the verbal instructions you give when resetting Gemini, but it could be better for the AI to have some hyper specific prompts pasted into the chat before you start. Tell it exactly what you expect from it and give more information about the game and the setup. Could be something like, "You are a pro GeoGuessr player (explain what that is more), when a round is shown I want you to give me a specific guess that includes the country, region, and nearest largest city. You are not to ask me what I think of the round and you are not to repeat back to me details I've offered...." get VERY specific with the prompt and mess around with different wording and instructions "do this/don't do this" to see if you can find the best prep before starting. It doesn't need to be concise, as you'd be copying and pasting it before starting the game, instead of having to speak it out.
To get AI working optimally the way you prompt it matters a lot. When you open up the AI, it might be better to have a copy-pasteable block of text that explains to the AI the rules and what you want it to do, in detail, and give the AI that text before opening the screen share, this will help with when the session times out and you need to restart, but also would allow you to fine-tune the prompting given to the AI. There's a reason the term "prompt engineer" is used in regards to those who work with AI at a more professional level, the prompt you give it will affect much, like it's personality, mannerisms, what pieces of information it prioritizes, etc. Adding a statement to the prompt such as "After each round we move on, there is no need to review the previous round unless asked." could have the AI avoid repeating back information afterwards. Gemini is trained more to be used as a tool to assist in decision making and attempt to provide supplemental details, it's not really trained much to take an active role, this is why it always attributes the actions to you, and is defaulting to providing feedback on what happened, because this is the more common use-case. To change this behavior the AI can be effectively told how it should act. If you get really into it people can prompt these AIs to provide answers in very specific formats. Most people who use AI give it basic prompts, and the results can be decent, but AI can become truly terrifying sometimes when it is running off of well optimized prompting.
"Its too human to recognize a road like that" has to be a brand new sentence and I didnt think I would hear this in 2025 if you had asked me liek 10 years ago
This concept is kinda fun, gothamchess (biggest chess youtuber)is also milking AI for content and getting quiet a good response. CONTENT IDEA-MAKE GEMINI GO AGAINST OTHER BOT IN A MATCH ,IF POSSIBLE MAYBE YOU AND JACK CAN USE DIFFERENT AI TO MAKE GUESSES i think this will be fun.(love your videos)
Facts about Sweden: Sweden is divided into 21 counties and 25 a bit smaller provinces. The counties are displayed on the map, but only the borders and not the name. “Uppland” is a province, but not a county located north of Stockholm. It would be a good tip to learn the counties as the regions have their own healthcare and public transit!
This is not _exactly_ correct when it comes to Uppland. There are 21 counties (län) and 25 provinces (landskap). The provinces have no official role in the government which is why you don't see them on the map. But they are popular as a regional identity so you see them used by people. Uppland is a "landskap" but not a "län". Uppland encompasses Uppsala län and the northern half of Stockholms län.
8:12 Bro I just played a round of GeoGuessr in duel and ended up in my childhood area and immediately 5k’d against my clueless opponent 😂😂, even better than the NSW drop
What would happen if you asked Gemini to cross reference the Plonk it website for extra clues? Since most of the data there are screenshots from Street View anyway there shouldnt be copyright issues stopping it from using it right?
It would be more interesting if you used a reasoning model. Google offers in AI studio Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking 01-21 that is their current flagship. Obviously it doesn’t support voice mode, but the interactions with the AI voice are quite boring anyway and very repetitive so you could take a full screenshot of the location, upload it to AI Studio and ask to plonk it on the world map after using reasoning and chain of thought. Would be cool to see the results and improvements over the basic model you’re using now!
ok cool anyway, heres a bussin hot chocolate recipe -half a semi dark chocolate bar (50% cocoa, no more otherwise it'll be bitter) -enough milk for 1 mug (you can just measure it out with the mug you are using) -2 tablespoons of heavy cream -1 tablespoon brown sugar -a pinch of salt 1. roughly chop chocolate into small pieces, preferably 5mm long pieces, and put this into a pot over medium high heat, stirring continously. 2. once chocolate is almost fully melted, add cream and continue stirring until it is 1 homogenous mixture. 3. turn the heat down and slowly add your milk bit by bit while stirring you need to turn the heat down to medium low, otherwise the milk will burn. 4. once you've finished adding your milk, add you sugar and salt and stir through. 5. serve in a mug, and top with whipped cream and leftover bits of chopped chocolate. 6. enjoy! Notes: This recipe is meant to be very thick, but if you don't like it like that you can add less chocolate. alright thanks
Insane video idea: What if a beginner geoguessr vs you a goated player in their own country. I like the idea and i wanna play against you myself im from netherlands so then there is a dutch only map 1 problem i'm broke and cant effort geoguessr but i tried it on a free version. i hope i can get a reaction have a nice day!
Bro no hate i love your videos but your thumbnails look wierd like ai generated i think it whould look more normal if you just take a normal picture sometime , beacuse you look good in your videos!
I really dislike AI, but this is genuinely interesting especially if you consider how shitty the AI reads things out etc but when it comes to geoguessr it’s insane
Trying to keep what you say to a minimum, rather than talking in detail as though it was a person, might help it dropping out. You will be using a lot of tokens and the context length could be getting full pretty quickly and causing issues. Or there's just some time limit for the voice feature, which means you won't be able to do anything about it.
kinda unfair you pitted the ai against the best player in the world, sponge the gaming sponge
Spongebob
haha
The AI is better than whole sideman 💀
🤣
*Sidemen
Wait for Josh to get better
Ethan's on his redemption arc
That’s not hard to beat lol

I think the lack of a better translation is because that is the correct translations. Regions do indeed have capitals.
I CAN NOT STOP LAUGHING AT "GEOGUESSOR" 12:49
Kind of a sick name if you consider how many 50/50s there can be.
I heard it as "Geoguess war" 😂
My guess is the AI is struggling with the Aussie accent or trying to replicate parts of it.
1:38 Geoguesspr
1:58 Geoguesstr
2:58 Geoguessr
4:08 Geoguessr
12:49 Geoguessor

It got the pronunciation right *some* of the times at least.

This. I made a similar comment before I saw yours. The prompt you give an AI can make a world of difference.
"Alright, so the last location was in..."
"Can you please tell me a specific location...?"

I just love how Gemini mispronounces geoguessr every single time lmfao
you are too patient with the ai bro. everytime you needed to repeat “be more specific” i felt so bad for you haha 😭😂
It's amazing that the AI doesn't understand that it is the one supposed to play against Sponge.
Can you just ask the AI to give coordinates where to put your marker?
it might make it even more inaccurate
That's not have AI works buddy
5:47 editor remembers this word now)))
AI guessing everything and then congratulates with you lmao
keep up the consistency bro, loving the videos 🙏
Hi oscar, are you planning to do another imposter series in the future? Im sure a lot of us would live to see it.
i would want that too
the consistency is crazy bro!! perfect vid to watch whilst eating
5:47 LOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL HE FOUND OUT THE WORD RURAL HAHAHA
15:50 with the hard "R"

Absolutely loved this video! Please do more.
I love how the AI just seems to get progressively more insecure and ask Oscar what he thinks of its guesses😭
Oscar looking heavenly in that thumbnail
ai rage quit when you called it out 😂

Keep the map hidden until the very end to prevent the AI from mistakenly identifying the marker placement area as the actual image location.
6:57 it really tried playing the old uno reverse card.
More of this please.
Next video: can SOMEONE beat me at geoguessr ?
This video is certainly resonating with the viewers
Ai:
1% geoguessing the location
99% Captain obvious
2:20 Uppsala is the main city within the county of Uppland
you're getting it all wrong gemini, zi8gzag didn't lose, YOU did!
15:51 Gemini was feeling a bit too Aussie it seems after that round.
For some reason when I used it, it was making terrible guesses. It is still very impressive tho.
Probably the prompts used
Maybe you're using a weaker model
@@FroggyPrince I use the exact same one as Zig…
@@Hugoxageo did you explain it as well as possible?
@ yes I did
Uppland is a province of Sweden and Uppsala is a city in that province. It's the most populated province in Sweden btw!
Uppland is a region, it stretches out from the northern part of Stockholm up to a city called Gävle and Uppsala is like the center of the region.
Mom! GeoGuesster is on!
you should do this with jack but jack can use the ai!!!
yo if you want, do some more content with Sponge
I love this game of geo guess ore. No wait Geo guess Arrrr
Yo W you used my idea thank you.
Would be really fun to see two different AI:s playing against each other, similar to Gothamchess’ AI Chatbot Chess Championships
I was laughing when it said Slovenia because I just knew it would pronounce Ljubljana horrendously and I was right 😂
I love a game of geoguessproster
hell yeah I guessed that hume hwy spot almost perfectly
Damn I'm a 1300 too, I didn't know that made me a pro geoguessr player. Got to put that on my resume now.
This is the kind of stuff that MLM are actually good at so I'm not surprised.
Because you have been making some AI content recently, perhaps could you ever have the chance to collab with Gothamchess? It'd be an awesome collab!
It‘s all fun till at 6:25. I was there just a few days maybe a week ago and I guessed France
I’d love if you could get a hold of Vedal and do a video with Neurosama!
The pronounciations gemini Said on the Word geohuessr were very funny ngl
Wow great video. Keep it up ❤❤
for future AI videos, you can just write out and copy paste an explanation as text whenever it breaks,
you dont have to explain it verbally every time
3:49 middel
2:50 Massive? Gotta be careful what word to use in 2025
You know what else is masisve
no way sponge is from east timor 💀🔥
Great video
Sorry my humour is broken why is the ai so funny 😭
This is the type of content that is interesting to me, personally. Not so much with you reacting to others/content creators playing the game.
Video idea: play against AI in hide n seek, gotta be possible somehow
I’ve seen AI play chess and I now it’s gonna suck 😂
can you preface the ai by saying "we are going to play multiple rounds, for every round give me the country, state and closest town for each guess"?
up and coming goat
Milking that AI bro
I love these videos

If there is an issue with the AI turning off randomly, maybe try to tell it ahead of time that there could be up to 30 rounds.

Is there a bigger zi8gzag fan than me out there? I think not!
