My headcanon is that toothless, for the first few months, would sometimes sneak out of the hidden world to try and see hiccup in new berk.

@@Fox3-Tempest5162 Bruh i became so salty at that LMAO she is annoyed but i guess its understandable. They hid for a reason and she probably knew the kids would be curious and try to sneak out (AHEM like a certain DRAGON) shes like..err..stoick? or valka. you need at least one responsible parent- plus, she has no rider. To her, toothless and the kids is her family. But to toothless, hiccup is also his family. But i guess shes warming up as well because hiccup did save toothless and her.
