Informative and pro video, Drew. Nice to see all the Christmas covers from an era where it was more popular than now. Thanks for dropping by my Livestream this past Saturday.
Thanks for checking it out! I was happy to stop by. You guys have a great thing going over there, I wish I could pop in more often. Keep killing it sir!
Right??? There are plenty of more modern covers out there as well, but I didn’t feel right including them on this first list (general consensus is that I should do one each year), because the Golden Age issues were SO good. And there are many, many more to cover in the future.
@@CoMoComicBooks you had so many of my favorites! I bid early on that fc 178 5.0 that sold on heritage and then had to go to the store last minute or it wouldn't have went so cheap! 😄 Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Vault of Horror 35. Shudder. I had the reprint but I had to move it along as it disturbed me so much. Yes please more videos on holiday covers. And I love your Homerable mentions in your videos. Happy Festivus!!! I think Santa can tge Martians should show up sometime in future holiday video.
🤷🏻♂️ I can’t help myself. Though, now that it’s out there, I can’t put it on the next one. OR maybe I make it a meme and it’s 9 new books and VOH35 at the top. EVERY year 🤣
I have a whole whack of X Mas cover comics and I put them out starting the last week of November. I just sold a BONE Holiday Issue and an Adventures Of Superman X Mas cover. Some of my favorites are Jonah Hex # 34 Hot Wheels # 9 featuring a Neal Adams cover One that not many people know about - because it doesn't have a X Mas themed cover. But the story is great and takes place on Christmas Eve.. DETECTIVE COMICS 826 the story is called SLAYRIDE featuring The Joker and Robin. One of my all time favorites ! Oh, and that Witching Hour Xmas issue is awesome ! Thanks Drew !
I collect Christmas covers. I put Batman #27 over #33 as it has a great Santa Claus on it -- it's the crown jewel of my collection. Sensation #38 is also in my top five. I can attest it is a difficult book to find and afford. Took me years to get a copy that I was happy with and had to pay out the nose for it. When it does come up, generally the copies were beat up. Holiday Comics #5 is a fabulous cover -- it woulld be in my top 10 rather than honorable mention. As far as Marvel goes, Nick Fury #10 is a nice cover. Finally, Archie publications is probably the King of Christmas covers. They did a ton of Christmas themed books over the years. I don't mean to plug my channel, but I have done a number of Christmas comic videos over the years. Great video and Happy Holidays!
Great as always I used to collect golden age Christmas covers and u coveted a lot of great ones I’ll add 3 u didn’t mention Comic cavalcade 25 with a sick Santa Adventure 113 Cap marvel adventures 19 how about some fawcett love Thanks for the hard work drew
The Vault of Horror 35 is reprinted in the 1991 Tales from the Crypt #4, Russ Cochran reprints for the budget-minded! I'd love to see more Bronze and Silver Age Christmas Comics, for guys like me who can't afford the amazing Golden Age books.
There is no shortage of Silver and Bronze to be found on the channel and the next stab at this topic I take will almost certainly have more representation from those eras. Gotta start with the classics though!
Jonah Hex # 34 Christmas With The Super Heroes ( DC) Deadpool # 7 ( 2019) DC Comics Presents # 67 Superman Adventures # 10 Incredible Hulk # 378 There's a few for you.
It’s one I hope to stumble into one day! I prioritize Detectives over most Bats in terms of significance, but there are a number I’d love to pick up one day.

Great list! My personal #1 is Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man 112. That Terminator homage with Santa is chefs kiss.
That’s definitely an interesting one! Sure to make the list at some point!
Totally unique list, Drew - well done!
Thanks Kyle! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I am STUNNED at how many Golden Age comics are on this list and how affordable they are!??!!! 😳

Love this video !!! Yes to one every year please :)
Maybe an Easter video next year ( maybe a little trickier though 😁 )
Thanks for the feedback. Easter would definitely be a tough one.
I like the Daredevil with Santa on the cover holding a gun
For sure! Lots and lots of other covers to feature in future episodes!
I ❤ Christmas comics! Especially Santa covers!
That is a deep well of books to collect from! SO many great covers over the years. I’m sure you know of some great ones I haven’t even heard of!

That was a cool list CoMo.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! We’ve got to have some fun every once in a while!
Love the VOH 35 cover. It's on my list of wants.
I’ve upgraded that issue more than any other EC book in my collection. I think I’m on my 3rd/4th copy. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching! I was pretty Santa heavy, which is why I picked Bat33 over 27. No doubt that they are both classics.

My favorite Christmas cover is arcade comics 4. Very subversive crumb cover
Oh wow! Crumb is a bit of a weak spot of mine, but I just pulled it up and that thing is bonkers! Santa rolling down the street in a panzer.
Prepare to add batman santa claus silent knight to this list in the future very good and fun Christmas book.
Thanks for the heads up and for checking out the video! Lots of books to get to in future installments!
@@CoMoComicBooks I like ur content bud keep it up 👍will be watching plenty more in future.
Not only does Hallmark use the same plot, they use the same four actors.
You noticed that too??? They sure seem to have it figured out over there! One plot, four actors, and piles of cash!
@CoMoComicBooks yep! One guy and three different hot women to fight over him.
