The new kitchen Colour combination looks amazing. It has definitely opened up the space. For the counter top, as a temporary fix you can use contact papers until you get it changed.

Countertops - temporarily, you can try marble peel & stick. Quartz countertop make a lot of difference, more than the cabinet colors!! We bought a house 8m back & we didn’t have budget to upgrade the cabinets to white or our color of choice, thought Vll paint but we upgraded the countertop to white quartz & it made an awesome difference, can’t explain in words!

plants are okay as of now... they will revive since summers are coming... give them sunlight thrice in a week atleast.... thwy will grow... snake plant and ZeeZee plant are very robust and don't die easily...

But one thing for sure once you have kids, they start going school, you will bond up with so many cool new friends and eventually they will be an intergala part of your life too. Ofcourse you are gonna miss your homeland forever. My son studying his undergraduate at University of Toronto since 2019, far away from us, May be this is life only. He calls everyday and incase he misses the time and calls little late so many wired thoughts comes to mind. He will smile and tell mama I had class, today weekday 😊. For sure your parents misses you same way you do. Always be keep in touch with them. Life is once so live it to the fullest. Stay blessed always.

island kitchen is good. But you can also change its base to white with tiny sparkle, what will go better with your kitchen paint. Overall its awesome.

The upper portion of cabinet is soo nice . But some how I don’t like the counter top and lower part (blue) of the cabinet. They doesn’t look uniform .

We got our blinds thru a man who came ,measured and installed for us. Not very expensive as big box stores.

Be very careful with quartz. Because it very very hard to get rid of stains. I got would be no. You may go with marble.
