Really like the green pink and blue. Tassle-free is the kind of neutral I tend to wear. Those taupe-y shades go well with my skin tone without "disappearing" into it, like some beiges do. Especially pink-y beiges. Once when I had super-short nails, I wore a pinkish beige, and it looked like I had NO FINGERNAILS. It was freaky, creepy and horrifying, all at once. Gave that polish to my auburn-haired mom, and it looked stunning on her. She felt bad for me having to give up an OPI and handed over a Zoya that she wouldn't wear again. Can't remember the name of it now (Anita? Anaka?), but it was the kind of bright fuchsia that overwhelms her coloring, but looks like it was made for me. So that turned into a win-win. My mom and I go in together for whole collections on a regular basis because a) buying collections is often cheaper than buying individual bottles, and b) most collections will have half the polishes suit her, and the other half for me, anyway. Two birds, one stone.
WOW! I really like it. This gel couture collection this year has something in common; fashion. My picks are in-vest in style, because it remind the other collection. Also, put in the patchwork. What I really thought of a collection is the swivel brush. And you don't need a base coat. Thank you for the reviews.
😀Yes, Janixa, it was me that mentioned the twisted stem to you, haa, and you wrote back that 'you never noticed it before' which surprised me! I love this collection! It reminds me as well of colors that can be worn year-round. Feel better 🥰
This collection is pretty nice. I like all the shades and they can be worn any time of year. The pricepoint is a bit much for cremes for me but they're still pretty. TFS!
Thanks the another great video. I agree, the finishes of the different Essie formulas are not the same. I wonder why too! Also just wanted to share your hair and makeup look great. ❤☺️
Hi Janixa! Actually this isn’t a continuation of the last collection because all the Gel Couture line’s names are based on the fashion industry or “couture” 😊
I do get longer wear time with the Gel Couture line, so if that means I have to sacrifice the "one coat" nature of the other formula, I'll take it. I guess it's trade-offs! I really like the green and gray from this line. They look great on you!
Love your videos. This collection is nice. I like GC. It lasts on my nails longer than other Essie lines. That being said I'm overwhelmed by how many collections they put out. It's too much. And too fast. I like to take my time and appreciate the collections & seasons.
I've noticed that the Gel Couture line many times uses a fashion/sewing/couture theme. I think it's their "trademark" now, and I enjoy it because I'm a seamstress. The twisted bottle (and brush stem) also remind me of a dress swirling in the breeze, or as the runway model makes her dramatic turn before heading back down the catwalk. I'm sure you have many more from this line than me, so you could go back and check the labels if you wanted to see.
I liked these! Especially the pink shade. I even liked the blue, even though I don't really like blue polish very much. I agree that it's weird that the cremes across all Essie polishes aren't the same. Or at least more similar.
I’m having a bit of a conundrum. There’s a chance I found the coveted Essie Starry Starry Night, but I can’t tell if it’s a scam or not and I’m hesitant to risk it. Because if I don’t and it ends up being legit I’ll be soooooo mad

The gel Couture top coat is one of the best ! Tfs
Yes I do like that one!

I agree about the price point.
I just thought that the brush stem was twisted because the bottle looks twisted. Thank you for passing on the info. Great colors.
💜💜💜
I have 51 bottles of GC. Never noticed the brush. Now I have to go look at them all...lol
😆

Omg I’m so dumb 🤦🏻♀️ That never dawned on me lol. Ayyyy Janixa lol

It is a lot all at once. Each of their lines released a collection on the exact same day!

@@naillacquertherapy Wow‼️
What a beautiful lipstick you're wearing! Regarding the collection, I usually clown Essie. This time around, I shall do so silently. TFS!
Thank you!

Funny thing, I don’t have any GC. I sell them once I swatch them. I don’t like the bottles so I don’t keep them lol

Yes, very odd to me.
Your skin tone looks great with the tassel grey one, just saying😊😊
Thank you!
I really like the green and gray. But 13 bucks is a little steep. And I have so many already
It is steep. 😭
So I pulled the trigger. I ordered the green gray and blue from amazon. They were cheaper than from the drugstore.
Cut loose reminds me of transcend the trend.
They do look alike!

Oohhhhh man! Message @vintage_essie on IG. She knows all about old Essie’s.
@@naillacquertherapy Thank you for the tip!!! I’m sure you understand why I’m so hesitant to drop the big bucks on an uncertainty
@@naillacquertherapy Ultimate sorrow 😭 it was a scam but at least I dodged loosing money. I knew it was too good to be true
