    YESS ANOTHER LEVEL CROSSING FROM ROMANIA!

    I like that little addition under the Andrew's cross, which probably means there are more tracks than one...

      thats correct, you usually see it in a lot of European countries (not all though)

    i am honestly surprised by how it took a whole half minute for the gates to raise...

      I'm surprised that train was moving at all, it looked ready for the scrap yard..

      That's because unless we are in Romania level crossing barriers rise all at once not 🚫 the reverse order of the closure!

    Welcome to Romania, possibly the only country that can't figure out how to raise quad gates simultaneously! 🙃

      They also need to have some work done. Exposed wires, running dry, one of them lost some red stripes. And honestly I don't care about how they raise up. If I had my engine turned off, I would turn it on when the left gates/barrier go up. Because my engine will get properly lubricated by the engine oil.

      @@bjthedjdutchdude1992 Good points, and I respect that opinion, considering how shamelessly dogmatic mine is, haha. Bonus question: do you mind waiting 55 seconds for the barriers to raise after the train passes? 😛

      @@yabbaguy I would wait till the lights go out. Even if I'm in Italy for example

      It's probably for safety reasons.

      @@yabbaguy Dutch crossings need only 40 seconds from start to finish. If they took four minutes many of them would never open up when there are 10 trains per direction per hour 🤣

    WOW that signal nearest to you needs some motor refurbishment! Gate mech itself was probably louder than the bell (siren...?) lol

    • @CFRTrainSpotter
      @CFRTrainSpotter 2 года назад +1

      i dont know exactly if its the motors that are the problem. every newer level crossing installed (since circa 2001) have had rather loud barrier motor noises...

    • @TudorCrossings
      @TudorCrossings 2 года назад +1

      Also, The Lights are kinda put in a bad position, one of the lights is tilted towards the other light, and is it me or the double crossing crosses extention thing are BIG

    • @CFRTrainSpotter
      @CFRTrainSpotter 2 года назад +1

      they should just remove the multiple-track crossbucks and instead put some writing on the barriers that say how many tracks are on the barriers. unless theres legislation that doesnt allow for that in the 1968 Vienna Road Traffic Convention, because technically speaking, this is a road sign...

      @@CFRTrainSpotter Also question since i saw you know the history of many Level Crossings from Romania, May i know what is the timeline of Sfantu Gheorghe Level Crossing in Covasna County. And especially when it got lights

    • @CFRTrainSpotter
      @CFRTrainSpotter 2 года назад +1

      i have no idea, mainly because most info regarding level crossings here isnt about the details regarding the instalation, but mostly lessons for driving school, because some people just dont get the idea about them. thankfully Spoorwegovergang Nederland is breaking the monotony with these vids :P
