Your an incredibly strong human dylan. Listen/watch you daily on my work breaks and I honestly consider you family and I’ve literally never interacted with you before. Thats a testament to the person you are and the capabilities you have. I’ve learned and grown so much as an individual by listening to you and your philosophies and i cant thank you enough. Keep up the work brother. Hang in there man, you got a good head on your shoulders💪
Snow! Loved the rants as I'm always interested in people's stories, good or bad. So please don't feel like you can't share them, it's what makes you such an interesting channel to watch. I love that we get to experience you playing Rust in all your different frames of mind as you go through life. Thank you for that. Take care my friend, be safe.
Yep im with robert here. Dylan you should get this stuff off your chest. Also, my dad has abusive parents and he took care of them regardless so i understand you being honorable and not giving up on your parents.
Dylan - You're a class act. In your efforts to honor your dad remember not to allow HIS shit land on you. You are who you are because of the choices YOU'VE made. I been watching you for years and have watched you grow into great young man. Eventually, you two need to separate. He needs to own HIS SHIT and HIS CHOICES. HE NEEDS TO GROW THE F UP! - end of rant....
Shots it's always good to get things of your chest and we are all here to support you brother so don't apologize for anything and keep looking out after your pops as it sounds like he needs you more than he lets his ego be shown bro and we all love you and we all haven't got perfect parents also and some can agree with what you're going through buddy
Shots your base designs are a nice balance. Strong enough to withstand a sizable offline, not hopeless in an online, and easy enough for almost the newest player to build. You’re a solid builder for a large amount of the rust population.
i loved how you go "and i'm not gonna get into it" and then goes into it. it's like you needed somebody to talk to about it even if it's not that serious. but we love to listen to your rants maybe even help you ! thanks for sharing shots i've been through the same stuff with my mom.
I can definitely relate to what you’re going through man. I would give him the power. Set boundaries if he wants to drink and go somewhere else for the night so you all don’t have those battles. Power is his and you’re protecting both of your best interests.
Dylan, don’t ever be sorry about ur experiences, sometimes it’s nice to hear that your not the only one who has family drama…shows how genuine you are.
Your such an amazing creator being so real and opening up to your viewers, a lot of people can relate to your situation keep up the great work. We all appreciate you and the content you create!
Dad's can be rough sometimes. My dad was "downsizing" then couldn't resist a giant house. He also used a ton of his equity to buy a big rig. Then it broke down and he borrowed my entire commission check from selling guitars during the holidays. It took about 2 years of super tiny payments to get paid back. There were lots of things like that, but now that he is gone, I'm happy I could help him even though he ended up losing the house. I miss him and I'm glad you can work through the BS and appreciate the time you have with your dad. derrer
Seeing a whole neither side to you today and just wanna say didn’t think I could have anymore respect for you than I already did but here it is your a good man wish I knew you in real life you’d be a good friend to have and your dad and family are lucky to have you. Getting me all emotional and shit damn lol
My dad and I have a similar relationship. Loving your dad, especially one who wasn’t there, is a good thing. Keep holding him to his word, and just remember to set the right boundaries. It’s not a bad thing to take care of family, but remember to protect yourself and the person who takes advantage might bicker, but they’ll never be able to hurt you.
0:23 aye, decently long time viewer and I’ve seen over the months that you’ve been level headed about everything that’s came your way. I’m sure this thing will be the same.
I don’t wanna excuse anyones actions however I do believe your dad is proud of you. You bring actual joy to our lives and the smart humor keeps us invested. I feel most people like you bc you’re not afraid to be open with us and for that we feel we are actually connected. Whatever you’re going through we are honestly here to listen and we support you 100%. I believe your dad only says the things he says toy you only bc he doesn’t understand the internet as you or I do. It’s simply more than just saying gaming content. We love you Shots!
I started watching your about a week ago and bro let me tell ya, u definitely one of my mentors in life now I love hearing you talk your conversations just so good I’m glad 😃 I discovered your channel I appreciate all the work that you put in
When the children do better than the parents!!! You are spot on with holding him accountable. Keep doing it never let it slide. You should never be taken advantage of no matter who the person is.
Yo Dilly…. Yo a blessing to your dad.. It’s hard for someone to appreciate that when their mind is clouded from drinking or smoking. You’re the better man to be there for him and live with his addictions. I pray for you and your dad and that he breaks that addiction
God damn dude I know this comment is late but I genuinely started tearing up at the start when you started talking about your dad and trying your best to stay positive. Keep your head up man, love ya.
When the child becomes the adult while looking after a newly born child. His responses are that of an addict, you know there's only so much you will be able to take, and only so much you will be able to do. If he's not going to help himself then nothing will change. His addictions seem to be linked to his worth, eventually his worth runs out and he cracks. Mad props to you for your ability to be the adult.
(Snow) I'm sorry Dylan about your dad I understand my dad had a drug problem same with my mom but if you always have your positive vibes dude you keep your head up like you have been in the past & nothing will break you. Dylan!!! I love you brother you as family, 😊 Thank you for keep up your videos your solo videos are the best brother but sometimes you do need Matt in there maybe once or twice a week. He puts in some good content funny contact cuz we're always laughing at them when he gets mad
Sounds like you needed a good vent and I'm glad you did. You're viewers are always here to listen and I'm sure many of us can relate to your situation.
My opinion from someone who both parents were addicts… hold their feet to the fire. Change will happen. Addicts problem is they fear change. They fear responsibility. They fear failure. They fear growth. They want the easy way out which is comforting addiction. It is up to them to take initiative for their own life. It’s not your responsibility. They will use you until you have nothing left to give. They will zap ⚡️ all your energy. Focus on you. Survival is more important than your morals and ethics. If you believe in your dad that is one thing but allowing him to get over on you is not a positive thing. It will stress you out. Trust me. My father is in prison right now and still falls into the same psychological patterns. It’s sad but it’s not my fault. Care from a distance.
Snow ^_^ Great video. You are a good soul Dylan and a strong person. I'm older than you but I can really relate to your interactions with your dad. You are playing it right. When he is sober, be sure to set your boundaries and hold him accountable. At some point in most people lives we become our parent's parent. Also, when he drinks and you are around him, use the gray stone method (as you seem to be doing). It works with drunks and narcissists too.
Love and appreciate you 💕 * Dylan, I know that I’m just some random guy commenting but thank you for sharing parts of your life and tribulations. Your honesty the most humble person I know*💕
been watching you for a while man and i just wanna say i love your content and you are truly amazing. if no one has told you bro im proud of you. you have people who care never forget that
Dylan I loved actually hearing that side of your life man. I had an alcoholic dad who would talk shit and get butt hurt when he would get drunk as well who I didn’t know until I was 12. My moms a dope head that asks for money but I know she’s never gonna pay that shit back. Just nice to hear someone that can relate talk about it.
Man i died three times at large rig and want to die.First time got killed by a player, went back and killed him, I go up the rig and try to kill the bots with grenades and died to the explosion, I go back and the heavy’s are camping the dock and they murder me again, I lost my heli cause I went on it the first time, two c4 and a chinook.Fuck I don’t know how it could have been worse, I just closed the doors in my base and logged off. Great video btw
wow that Vegas shop thing was crazy. when the guy jump the counter he went HAM...I feel for the guy that got stabbed, its sad and heartbreaking. However when You decided to commit a crime this could be a outcome...hard lesson to learn.
Dylan, I'm 51 and live with my two grown sons. Being a disabled veteran they take care of me. I also get into those moods, but they let me know. Quick to apologize, I do and appreciate that they still put up with my shit. I don't drink, but think it's more about getting old and the people you are supposed to be taking care of are taking care of you. Keep your head up! You are a great person
Having an alcoholic parent is rough. Hopefully you can convince your dad to get help and talk to someone. As you’re learning you should never engage them when they’re drinking. Nobody will change until they’re ready… for some that’s being on the street and for some it’s never. He’s got to deal with the trauma he’s trying to drown before he will ever stop. Good luck on this painful journey. Great job protecting the family. Thanks for bringing it up.
Thank you for letting us in on your personal life. My father also did and still does suffer from alcohol abuse the worst part being is that he has the money fuel his addiction, but wish you the best and love the vids.
Hey men one of the reasons I like ur vid bc no matter what happens ur happy about everything and positive and energetic and always say some random sheet keep been that way
Hey I have a lot in common with you with the parents. My dad's dead now but I've had the same experiences as you. You should take your pop's ten bucks. It was a his word you know. The alternative is to basically not loan him money anymore because he has bad credit. Doesn't mean that you can't give him money but just do so not expecting to get it back. You're already my favorite rust tuber. But yeah keep the awesome content coming and keep doin what you're doin. Thank you!
My dad is the same you have a good spirit my dad got drunk one one morning I told him to just sit down . He said go on mommas boy and I couldn't control myself so more power to you
Looking forward to the snow wipe! Sorry to hear about the encounter with your dad. A wise man once told me that we are not responsible for our first thought but we are responsible for our second. You did engage with him but later realized that you were in fact playing a part in that situation and held yourself accountable. I can't tell you how much listening to you acknowledge things like that helps me in my own life. It's definitely part of why I'm a religious follower of yours and I'm sure I speak for many others as well.
Dylan keep doing what your doing bro. I’m glad your living life with your heart. Keep your dad save he needs your strength and one day he will sober up bro.
hey dyaln just want to say im super proud for how youre handling all this. i just get a bit worried that it will start to negatively affect you being in that environment. i trust you know when to draw the line if that moment ever comes. even if it is youre dad you have to take care of yourself first. i know you probably already know this but i just have to make sure because we all care about you homie. much love my dude.
Snow wipe would be so cool. Get it? Also side note, being assertive and holding you dad to his shit is not the worst thing. Finding a balance of picking battles and being assertive to call him out will hopefully help him in the long run. Family is family. We don't get to pick them, but we are stuck with them. I get where you are coming from that you don't want to ruin someone's life. It is very selfless. Just be careful to be aware of your own feelings and not to let them get the best of you. It is easy to change as to help someone else. Never sacrifice who you are for someone else. You are on the right track Dylan!
Hey bro, I’m from Chicago and I get it. You can either do the high road: be the altruistic person and deal with the trials and the tribulations. Or the hot head route and be selfish. Just something small to think about. Keep your head up bud
I'm 27 and my mom has been an alcoholic for as long as I can remember. They speak without a filter and you cant take their attacks to heart. I've tried helping her in every way possible, watched her almost die multiple times from liver failure and other health problems caused by alcohol, but she doesn't want to change anything, even when she has the option to. I've gotten to the point where it's better for my mental health and well being to just let her do what she wants and cut her out of my life for the most part. It's sounds pretty shitty but I shouldn't have to sacrifice my well being because of her choices. Watching someone you love kill themselves for a bottle is hard to watch. Love you buddy, keep grinding.
Probably won't read this but, my dad taught me a lot about alcohol, he works extremely hard everyday, and also gets really drunk every night, it's bothering to the entire family. Drunker he is the more the world revolves around him and he don't care about anyone's feelings. We can get into heater arguments when he's drinking and he's really into conspiracy stuff and it's just really bad... Every day. Anyway, ur not alone bro and thanks for sharing and keeping things real with the people that know this side of you.
Dylan, sounds like your Dad is trying to fix his problems on you, not on your watch buddy!. He may even be a good guy in some ways but he knows that relying on you is not helping himself. Plus++ I've liked the last few wipes, all is good!
Dylan don’t ever apologize for ranting on ur own Chanel everyone goes through stuff and it’s better to talk it out/rant ab it then constantly just keep dealing with it on ur own and bottling all them emotions up
Man, I know how it goes. I only got a call once a year when my dad was feeling guilty or some shit. When I was in my late 20s I was sick of trying to have a conversation with a drunk I barely knew. So, I stopped answering calls. When he passed I felt bad but I have to tell myself I don't deserve to feel guilty. His problems, not mine. You are a better man than I Sir.
Not sure about the outpost wanted idea, mainly because if your in a team and you are at outpost buying stuff or recycling and your team mate shoots and then comes into outpost then you'd get killed too, but in saying that it kinda makes sense too
Yo Dylan I appreciate the Insight makes me feel like someone else understands how it was like for me a little while ago, love you brother keep your standards up.
I’m on this server with you. I agree about the roof camping and naked grubs being not fun, but that is definitely how vanilla rust has become on high pop servers. I came by to see you once but you weren’t there.
I get that my dads the same way when he gets drunk idk why parents act the way they do when they drink but i totally get what ur talking about

The fact you do the daily uploads with all the things going on in your life, it is honestly amazing. Stay strong Dylan
Nice Vidz!!! You are my daily Rust video, Hope is the best thing in life! There is always Hope! Cheers!

wow that Vegas shop thing was crazy. when the guy jump the counter he went HAM...I feel for the guy that got stabbed, its sad and heartbreaking.
Your daily uploads are awesome man, really appreciate the consistent quality of your content. Keep your head up brother!
I know you don't need anyone to tell you this shots but your good man for being there for your family even in uncomfortable situations 🤙🏾

Dylan dont worry about it man, we will sit here and listen to your rants we love them and we here for you brother
Love your content fam. keep me occupied and entertained.
I did your triangle design on console and lasted a week without playing or being raided 😂
I agree about the teams at outpost. That is so frustrating and there is nothing you can do about it at all.
Hey men one of the reasons I like ur vid bc no matter what happens ur happy about everything and positive and energetic and always say some random sheet keep been that way
Love the vids shots keep up the grind
I’m excited for the snow wipe. I wonder if you will set electricity ⚡️ you rarely do but it’s always nice to see.
I'm giving shots a virtual hug!
At the end of the day he's your pops and you'll miss him when he's gone.
On a lighter note. Thanks for the awesome content. You're quickly becoming my absolute favorite RUclipsr. You're already my favorite rust tuber. But yeah keep the awesome content coming and keep doin what you're doin. Thank you!
Dang dude. I have all the respect for you.
Snow derr and Moral of the smoke shop robbery is "remember kids dont play with knifes"
My dad is the same you have a good spirit my dad got drunk one one morning I told him to just sit down . He said go on mommas boy and I couldn't control myself so more power to you

Totally agree with you with the team thing at outpost should be added to the game
Keep your head up man
We love you shots.
Hey bro, I’m from Chicago and I get it. You can either do the high road: be the altruistic person and deal with the trials and the tribulations. Or the hot head route and be selfish. Just something small to think about. Keep your head up bud
Snow, arctic base, snow mobile, mini/scrappy 👠,T3, exp ammo/c4 raids… play monthly if at all possible (long)
Love it !!!!! Hey shots QUESTION do you think it was possible he had on Night vision flashlight at the beginning of the video?? Keep up the grind !
you should try to make a base with wide gaps they’re really simple once you learn how to make them
Your grinding keep it up even throughout hard times brother
Dylan I love your videos keep it up
Dylan, sounds like your Dad is trying to fix his problems on you, not on your watch buddy!. He may even be a good guy in some ways but he knows that relying on you is not helping himself.
Plus++ I've liked the last few wipes, all is good!
Cool stuff. Keep on walking.
Dylan don’t ever apologize for ranting on ur own Chanel everyone goes through stuff and it’s better to talk it out/rant ab it then constantly just keep dealing with it on ur own and bottling all them emotions up
rant like a boss🤩
Shots is smart man indeed
Man, I know how it goes. I only got a call once a year when my dad was feeling guilty or some shit. When I was in my late 20s I was sick of trying to have a conversation with a drunk I barely knew. So, I stopped answering calls. When he passed I felt bad but I have to tell myself I don't deserve to feel guilty. His problems, not mine. You are a better man than I Sir.
Not sure about the outpost wanted idea, mainly because if your in a team and you are at outpost buying stuff or recycling and your team mate shoots and then comes into outpost then you'd get killed too, but in saying that it kinda makes sense too
shots the 🐐🖤
why not just move to the snow instead of switching servers?
snow
Yo Dylan I appreciate the Insight makes me feel like someone else understands how it was like for me a little while ago, love you brother keep your standards up.
I’m on this server with you. I agree about the roof camping and naked grubs being not fun, but that is definitely how vanilla rust has become on high pop servers. I came by to see you once but you weren’t there.
Shots your base design saved me form 2 onlines
the robbers are saying each other s names that genius
Much love to you Dylan
