Any of these products are meant to be used with *partial* clogs. A full clog will require some amount of snaking, then 1 packet (maybe 2) will be sufficient.
And use the least amount of water possible. You want the product to sit, not wash away or be too diluted.

I used that method before even purchasing the green Gobbler. All you do is pour it down the drain with hot water and let it sit. You don't need a plunger for this to work.
