I took some Santa faces off of small gift bags. I pealed the glue off of the faces. When I did my top coat you could see where the glue had been. I took your advice and went to plan B. I put some snow in the stiil wet top coat. It covered some of the problem so I was hopeful. Well some of the snow edging decided to float SO I had to sand them off. I then had to pour another coat on the top. Of course I added a little white glitter to the resin to try to cover it up. I guess that would be plan c an d. Thank you for teaching us not to give up 😂.
Love these! Can you imagine if someone made these to sell and didn't see the writing, sold them for may 15 or 20 dollars and the customer saw .59 staring at them, haha they might not like that!
❤❤ Thank you for being so real! 🥰 it’s so good to know that even you can make a mistake. ❤ Your coasters are beautiful as well as your table!! WOW 🤩 ❤❤❤
I love these papers! These turned out great. Your table is beautiful. Thank you so much for doing a video every day. I don’t know how you do it and with a full time job as well. So thank you, I appreciate you! ❤️
These are just perfect. I’ve figured out that 90% of resin work is figuring out how to and then doing a fix of some sort. 😊 your table is absolutely beautiful. All your Christmas coasters add such a joyful feel. ❤❤❤
Yeah, yeah, yeah, always a fix.😅 I'm working on that concept. I'll be smashing resin in the spring and making some terrazzo pots. I'll break out the concrete for that project. 😂 Welp, I would make that same mistake. I'll have to remember to check for writing and bar codes when I start using my stash od papers. Thanks for the heads up. 😊
Right!!! You are more confident than me I don't think I have the patience for creating out of broken resin.... If you do please share if you're on my Facebook group!!
@glitznglitterbymichelle1 It's simple with terrazzo. Dump the broken pieces into the mix then the mold. It's mosaic I think you're thinking of. That's more than even my puzzle-loving brain can handle.
Thank you for sharing how long it took for the white resin to get to the correct consistency and how warm the heating mat was. I love how you always show the issues that pop up and how you correct them. ❤❤❤ Your holiday table is super gorgeous 😍. Your design sense is perfect. ❤❤❤
Question: Since you need white on the back, and have to put your papers in when it is tacky, why don't you use the polyurethane resin? (I can't imagine that you have many uses for that resin...) Also, why don't you top coat with the heat resistant resin, so your coasters are (wait for it...) heat resistant. Thank you for all you do!😊
I have tried PU resin in an older video. It cures too fast and you have to end up glueing the paper in and the paper got bumpy from the glue so I wasn't a big fan of that technique. Let's Resin brand is heat resistant pretty high, definitely enough for hot cup. Here is the video ruclips.net/video/YeaUmd8fOGg/видео.htmlsi=SiRgGQSKr55Mq5nV
They look so cool on your table - you and Don have a busy Christmas coming up with 6 other places at your table - enjoy!! ❤ The coasters did you make the chargers as well?
Do you make your Christmas cake each year too? Is cake decorating your other job or another hobby? You're always so busy. Christmas eve is such a beautiful family time I'm glad you get to enjoy that special time with others. Have a good one and thankyou for sharing your beautiful decoration with us ❤🌲🌟🎁🔔
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 respect - I do my woodwork (plus now hooked on resin) but never have enough hrs in the day lol since my Grandaughter was born 3yrs ago looking after her 2 days a wk - but wouldn't change a thing to beat honest.
so so pretty!!!! I'm a bit confused on how you fix it. I think you scape off the resin to use it for the shell...and then just redone the coaster all together. am I correct on that?
Yes, I scraped off the wet resin and made the conch shell with it, threw the rest of the coasters away and started all over with the same process off camera.
Very pretty coasters 😍I do have a question I have coaster molds and want to make little dishes out of them if I put my paper in first then pour resin on top wait a little bit till there semi cured pull the out of the mold and shape them in to little bowls do you thin that would work 😊
I have a feeling that there would be spots of the paper that would be "dry" for some reason. Try just one to test before you do more. Let me know how it goes!
Nice project. I have a question about measuring. I have been using a scale for the one to one resin. I pour sat 2oz of A then 2oz of B. But i seem to always have much more of B left over when the A bottle is empty. Am I measuring wrong? Thanks
I use the disposable plastic cups that have the measurements built in, or I also have silicone cups with the measurements marked on them. amzn.to/47DN7SS
beautiful table setting Michelle. And yes I would definately steer clear of any writing on the back of the papers. 🤗💕💙
Thank you!! Glad I can make that mistake for everyone with not only 1 but 2 of them LOL
Yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some cardstock.
Excited to make some coasters.
Awesome! Have fun!! If you are on my Facebook group please share!

Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous table Michelle! ❤The coasters are lovely!😍
Thank you Sue!
I use mod podge on paper before I put it in resin
I've tried that but mine lefts wrinkles that's why I try to avoid that...

1st time watching you I love this tutorial & how the ornament was created .Plz share a link to your scrap paper
Welcome abord! I don't have a link I picked it up at Hobby Lobby
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 Thank you :)
What color mica is in that conch shell? It's beautiful. If you sell it i would love to buy some. 😊
It was "Ruby" by Istoyo! I haven't gotten into selling mica just yet but I have been kicking around the idea....
Does the extra green left on the mold wash off. I’m new and would love to make some for my table
Yep, just use some alcohol and everything comes off like new!
Those are gorgeous!Where do you find your beautiful paper??
Hobby Lobby but any craft store may have it with their scrapbook papers
Thank you !!!

Unless it says by weight you should be measuring by volume.
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 what would i use to measure volume? Sorry to sound so dense

Red, a true red, is so difficult to find. So far all I have found were red that when put in use they take on a pinkish hue.
I agree!
I appreciate the advice… These are lovely. I NEED 2Get myself in gear… 🫶🏻✌🏻
