I learnt that once you hit a considerable profit target for the day, it's okay to step aside, else the markets could come for your profits. I've personally experienced this. I've had days when I was up like 10% of my account only to end up almost blowing or even blowing the account. Truth be told, I've lost some challenge and funded accounts doing that. But I've learnt the hard way not to be greedy. Now if I hit 1 to 2% a day, I'm super contented to sit back and just wait for the next day. Thanks Dan.

The cons are negligible, The interaction with the dashboard isn't all the time anyway. My investment with funding pips is on hold, which is really affecting my year plan . I just recently signed on for a free trial on Alpha Capital before the algorithm put this video in my feed. Very insightful, thank you. I started trading last September using Trading View. Now I have to navigate on MT5. It's like you've passed your driving license on an automatic car, you go on a holiday after that, say in Bali and you want to rent a car and all the vehicles are manual. Between the massive jams on the roads and the tight squeezes, you have to constantly maintain a half clutch on 2nd gear so that the engine won't stall. That is my experience on MT5 but I'll persevere. The Cantonese or the Hokkiens have an expression for this type of experience, its called "vomit blood"

Really appreciate that you share your experience with all these prop firm and I helped me a lot in choosing a prop firm to start with with a limited fund! And from this video I learned that company that has the ability to provide liquidity pool as close to the real market is one of the most important aspect in choosing the prop firm to trade with.

I found out something awesome - they actually pay as promised, and their CEO is super smart, experienced, and more qualified than needed. This made me feel really good about them. It's great to know the money comes through, and having such a capable CEO adds even more confidence in the company. Also I understand that the tilt is okay. We need to learn to overcome it
I've learned that reaching a significant daily profit is a signal to step back; otherwise, the market might take back those gains. I've personally faced this situation, having times where my account was up by 10%, only to almost wipe it out. I've lost a lot of challenge accounts due to greed. What i learnt is to go with a Prop Firm that aligns with your values, that is run by trusted and passionate people. I also learned the importance of trading with a firm that has stable execution to get the best price and to avoid slippages. Lastly i learnt that tilt can affect our performance and is best to step away for a while when you have experienced drawdown - i look forward to research and find more ways to deal with or reduce the impact of tilt. What I have learnt in this video is Dan Cheung being honest and saying everything he has experienced by trading with them. And one thin I like to here him say "it's not the end of the world" meaning there is always room for improvement.
What I like about Alpha Capital 1. The Price is good 2. Fast entries when I input orders (little slippage) What I don't like 1. lot size limit for 100k is only 40lots on the funded account!!! And the USOUSD contract size is only 10(ftmo's USOUSD contract size is 100), I can't even risk 0.5% per trade scalping USOUSD due to the 40lot size limit, but if you don't scalp USOUSD that is fine 2. After passing the phase2, I waited 4 days to receive my funded account, compared to other propfirm that is kind of slow 3. ACG request 50% of your profitable trade needs to hold at least 2 minutes

For your future reviews of prop firms, could you talk a little bit more about the rules around news trading? I don’t like rules where you have to close your position 2min before or after a major event like NFP. I like rules like the FTMO swing account where you don’t have to micro manage your trades around news events. It doesn’t have to be long winded, just an indication of what those rules are.

I discovered that it's OK to step back after reaching a sizable daily profit target, as the markets may then come for your gains. I've had firsthand experience with this. On certain days, I would have used up about 10% of my account, but I would have ended up blowing the account entirely. To be honest, I have funded accounts and lost certain challenges because of it. It's really nice to have more prop firms coming to the space. The only big con that I found with them until now is their limitation of only allowing $200K allocation per strategy. It'd be nice to be able to merge the accounts to their max allocation ($400K) and trade the same strategy on all of them.

Hey Champ interesting to know that TFF now has apparently much better and ideal execution conditions compared to a couple years ago. Definetly gonna keep it in mind for the future so thank you!! In terms of Alpha Capital, I heard about them from you and definetly gonna consider them too! The last few years have been rough trying to find and refine a strategy that works. Now with the refined and 18 months back tested strategy I'm up 5% on my 100k FTMO phase 1 (down temporarily from 7%) and I really see light at the end of the tunnel now, although it only gonna be the start of my trading journey. What i learned here is take and experience challenges from best firm ,like ACG, FTMO, funding traders etc.
i choose zero commision providing broker too these firms are best. I found a con in alpha which is they provide higher leverage which make me to risk more . Overall great experience

It's great to know the money comes through, and having such a capable CEO adds even more confidence in the company. Also I understand that the tilt is okay. We need to learn to overcome it
I've learned that reaching a significant daily profit is a signal to step back; otherwise, the market might take back those gains. I've personally faced this situation, having times where my account was up by 10%, only to almost wipe it out. I've lost a lot of challenge accounts due to greed. Now, I've learned the importance of not being overly ambitious. Thanks, Dan.
What i learnt is to go with a Prop Firm that aligns with your values, that is run by trusted and passionate people. I also learned the importance of trading with a firm that has stable execution to get the best price and to avoid slippages. Lastly i learnt that tilt can affect our performance and is best to step away for a while when you have experienced drawdown - i look forward to research and find more ways to deal with or reduce the impact of tilt.

I have learned a valuable lesson through the trials and tribulations of trading in the financial markets. There were days when I soared to great heights, only to come crashing down in the blink of an eye. The allure of greed clouded my judgment and led me astray, causing me to lose more than just money.
But through these hardships, I have gained a newfound wisdom. I now understand the importance of setting realistic profit targets and knowing when to step aside. If I achieve even a modest 1 to 2% gain in a day, my heart is filled with contentment, and I am at peace with waiting for the next opportunity.

And the USOUSD contract size is only 10(ftmo's USOUSD contract size is 100), I can't even risk 0.5% per trade scalping USOUSD due to the 40lot size limit, but if you don't scalp USOUSD that is fine

After passing the phase2, I waited 4 days to receive my funded account, compared to other propfirm that is kind of slow

ACG request 50% of your profitable trade needs to hold at least 2 minutes
Big lesson from the video is slippage can take up your profits so choose your firm wisely. choose Alpha capital. Love these kinds of videos.

I don’t like rules where you have to close your position 2min before or after a major event like NFP. I like rules like the FTMO swing account where you don’t have to micro manage your trades around news events. It doesn’t have to be long winded, just an indication of what those rules are.

I discovered that it's OK to step back after reaching a sizable daily profit target, as the markets may then come for your gains. I've had firsthand experience with this. On certain days, I would have used up about 10% of my account, but I would have ended up blowing the account entirely. To be honest, I have funded accounts and lost certain challenges because of it. But I've had to learn the hard way to avoid greed. I'm now happy to just sit back and wait for the following day if I hit 1 to 2% a day. Many thanks, Dan.

Dan takes a L Jade takes a L but when you actually trade you do not want the L in the journey to affect you because you are going to eventually make it. Dan You are always an inspiration. It's really nice to have more prop firms coming to the space. The only big con that I found with them until now is their limitation of only allowing $200K allocation per strategy. It'd be nice to be able to merge the accounts to their max allocation ($400K) and trade the same strategy on all of them.

So that you will avoid losing your hard earned money through slipping. Losing is part of the game, if you have the edge nothing to worry so for now just focus on you craft and money will follow. The last few years have been rough trying to find and refine a strategy that works. Now with the refined and 18 months back tested strategy I'm up 5% on my 100k FTMO phase 1 (down temporarily from 7%) and I really see light at the end of the tunnel now, although it only gonna be the start of my trading journey.
I wanted to buy it with some money from the refund and/or first payout, but a second 100k challenge account would be a freakin dream for when I'll get my refund back and want to scale it 😮🤞🏻
