I agree! Unfortunately lots of women are pick mes and society and religion raises women to seek validation and worth from a man choosing them. Now don’t get me wrong, companionship is wonderful but it should not be used as a measure of one’s worth because what happens when that person leaves or dies. Moreover, I think the closeness of Clifton, joi, and Carmen’s relationship was a bit too close for comfort in my opinion. And the other ladies may have started to see Carmen, who is an attractive, single woman, as a threat.
