ARRMA as usual, with their good 6s range. This Talion looks fun, but first i drive my Mojave 6s 100 times and maybe doing a long term review, how it went, how the differentials etc. were holding up. Had 80 drives with it and its a killer tank of a short course truck. Maybe i get my self a Talion 6s next year.

You got that thing moving!!! I got a Talion too. I think that 1650KV is the sweet spot for Talions cause you can gear it so many different ways at that KV. I had the Castle 1717-1650KV with MMX8S in mines with a 36T spool and 30T pinion and it was insane (on road only though). I dropped the tires down to the ProLIne 2.8 Belted Trencher HPs and was loving it. No heat issues at all...then I fucked up and tried the SRC Belted Sweeps Terrain Crushers (which I also love but are a bit heavier) and it heated the motor up BAD! Motor wire came unsoldered and the pinion damn near melted on the shaft...just from changing the tires! It was fun while it lasted though...better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all I guess! LOL I say this as a warning to you cause tire weight can throw your whole setup off. Belted tires tend to be heavier so stay as small and as LIGHT as you can.
I love the Talion so much I'm building another one from scratch with all upgraded parts. I plan on trying the Sweeps first but I got a set of those new Katar Belted on pre-order that come on the new EXB Talion. You might wanna look into those too cause they a nice size and they're super light-weight for a belted tire. I just subscribed too...love the content and keep up the good work! PEACE

You ain't lying about the tires! Haha! I just put my 3.8 badlands back on. (Blew my backflips out the other day) and have been hesitant to run again haha! I'm definitely looking at the belted Katars. I actually liked to og Katars. May have to get a few new pinion gears to play with too. I gotta see the new build from scratch! I'm considering the exb to see how mine stacks up to it head to head.
Thanks for subscribing, the response and for watching! 👊🏿

Hey man! I just got a max6 and 1650 in the mail last week. Wasn't sure what to put in but after seeing this, I'm thinking my talion exb. Was thinking about putting it in the TLR Typhon I got on preorder lol. How's that Black Panther holding up? Side note...snapped the body mounts on my Corally Kronos a while ago...I just mounted the body with 2 big ass Velcro straps haha. It's rigged as hell but it's so good the guy I sold it to still uses it like that 😏. Keep it up man, just found your channel and like the videos!

Yo! The Max6 would be so nasty in the TLR Typhon! But I definitely love it in the Talion haha. T'Challa has been a damn tank! Running m2c chassis and shock towers now. Have the updated T-Bone Racing bumper on the way. The week point is shock ends haha! I'll take that all day.
Velcro straps are magical things haha! I love the stuff we all do to just make something work 🤣
Thanks for watching and commenting! 👊🏿👊🏿

💪Nice run what size and what is the name of the the tires you have on the talion now?and did you leave the spur gear stock with the 50t spur gear?

Thanks! I did leave the stock 50t spur. In this vid, I was running the dboots backflip lp tires from the Outcast 4s. But I am now running proline badlands. Not the MX38s. Here's the part number 👊🏿

Youre thinking same as me. Just changed to louise 2.8 belted. The stupid trend of having huge tires only results in heat issues and handling and performance. With 3.8 tires i was able to go only 7mph (loose sand) faster than stock with no heat issues, but motor is way stronger, so it doesn't add up.
Monstertruck tires used to be around 150mm diameter. Now a days around +170. Saved 800 gr. just by changing tires. This will make it faster and handle better.

I admit that I went big tire on everything for a bit. For stunts... it's great. Have definitely found that I get more speed with smaller tires and higher gearing. And the handling... way better. I just bought 2.8 badlands and a few more pinion gears the other day. Won't be going back to 3.8s on the Talion any time soon

And if you're going for speed and handling (i only drive forrest and walked beach/uneven sand, and no big 10m jumps), change shockoil to something like 350 rear, 450 front, depending on surface, because most of them run like 1000. This has also become a standard because of the big jumps. Performance wise it isnt any better. You will have more traction with thinner shockoil...

I still send this one so will probably leave shocks heavy. But I do have plans for a pure speed bash rig. I'll definitely take this advice for that one. Didn't take long to find out that these are not the same as my old radio shack RCs haha

I don't remember what I had it at in this vid... but I currently run at punch level 4. 👊🏿
