    Nicely done video. Thank you for not including narration. Also looks like a good group: It’s fun to go with a bunch of guys that get along, can ride, and aren’t racing. Thanks for posting.

      @@Gabriel-pt6tq As a roadie, I liked the surface of the GAP more, in addition to the views on the bridges. If you don't mind a little rougher surface, the C&O offers more history in the course of the ride. I hope to do GAP again some time, then add in some of West Virginia's rail trails.

    Great trail video!! I was on the GAP the same time as y’all and passed you going the opposite direction on July 18. It’s great to see memories from the trail and I can’t wait to go back and ride from DC-Pitts!

    Nice videos. I too am from Rockville, MD, and am planning on Pitt to DC ride this coming May. How many hours did you try to bike each day? How long did it take to set up camp and then break it down in the morning? Was there ever a problem finding a drinkable water source?

    • @JaysonAbrigo
      @JaysonAbrigo  3 года назад +1

      Glad you like the video, i did try to make it shorter but those memories! Regarding your question, we try to do 80 miles each day with an average speed of 13mph, that is 6 hrs and 30 min moving time, this does not include our rest stop, bike troubles, stopping for picture etc. so it took 10 hours all day, since we ride in pack(group) our pace is continuous and steady. There are plenty of campsites along the GAP, be aware of fees and reservation, btw we did not have any reservation on our first night so we ended up on a location further away from the trail, setting up camp should be easy depending or you're familiarity with your gear i.e. tent/sleeping bags. There are some stores along the trail but since its pandemic we brought dehydrated meals. Our cooking system is just basically for hot water, Tap water are also available along the trail of GAP some are not ok so we also have water purifiers or filters, once you pass the ECD there are no source of water until Cumberland, after that water wells and portalet are all located on the free campsites of MD, Enjoy your trip!

      @@JaysonAbrigo Thank you so much for the additional information. You guys looked like you all had fun. You posted another video, on Nov 26, 2020. Was that trail in Montgomery County? I am getting a gravel bike this month and looking for trails to ride it on; other than the C&O canal. Stay well!

    • @JaysonAbrigo
      @JaysonAbrigo  3 года назад

      Maybe use a bigger wheelset such as 700c compare to 650b i used, probably wider tires as well, definitely would invest on a much comfy'er saddle such as that selle anatomica, and also do a better narrating on my video😂👍
