First, I think you do excellent presentations. Second, I discovered Remnote last weekend and I am literally addicted. Regarding the references, can I make a reference to a word that is in a flash card? My guess is yes. Lastly, it would be helpful for future versions that if you make a term a reference, in the future whenever you type it, it automatically links to the reference you made. It would save a lot of time.
Remnote is great! However, what stops me from leaving Notion and using this one is that Remnote does not allow for columns or tables for note taking, it is always from up to down (I get that we can make hierarchies, but for me, it's VERY important to have columns). I would love the opportunity to make more customizable notes, because, yes, I LOVE the flashcards, with their active recall and spaced repetition technique, but I am also a visual person, and to have mutiple colors, fonts, sizes, organizers, columns and stuff like that is something I NEED to have, which is exactly what stops me from using Remnote :(
So you take notes in tables? That would be unusual. Do you think in tables? That would be remarkable. To me, the primary use case for tables is to list, sort, and classify data to see patterns in that data. Another use case is where you are grinding though something requiring rote memorization (like all the keystrokes in Remnote) looking for patterns and relationships. But those are not concepts and details to concepts. Wikipedia is quite useful, and it’s not because it’s a collection of tables. Besides, I’ve seen this comment from you multiple times on multiple videos. Once is satisfactory, thank you. Posting the same comment again and again starts to get annoying. I bet you have a hard time recalling all those items you put into all those tables!
@@jv1268 I care because Maria has found it necessary to post this comment in at least 6 other Remnote training videos. At the first reading, I can say OK and move on. But after reading the same comment for the 6th time, I get annoyed.
It would also be easier if there was something to indicate where, in the text of the rem, the reference term was found. For example, underline the found term with a squiggly line so we don't have to read through the complete text containing the found potential references.
This may sound out of place but can you guys add more payment methods to purchasing a pro subscription? I would like to get the pro version but I don’t have a visa, MasterCard, etc. I have a PayPal account but i don’t see the option to pay with that method, either that or I’m blind and didn’t see the option. Good vid btw
In the help page, I am able to access the folder rems simply by clicking the text, how can we enable that? I couldn't find it in settings... is it not possible at all?
If you find the browser is automatically generating closing brackets when you type in open brackets, check your add-ons. It turns out ProKeys was interfering with Remnote.
Hi there, can I also ask, what is the difference between a portal and backlink? Also, with regards to adding references, can I merge the the terms together? It seems I need to type out the full word then hit cmd + enter.
A link is simply a reference between two items. A portal is a "bubble of content" that you can pull into documents that refer to that "bubble" as needed. In my mind, a "bubble of content" is like a true Wikipedia page, where a lot of detail related to that concept is explained. I think it's confusing to describe references as "Wikipedia like", as that refers to the ability of Wikipedia to link to related content.
How do i remove a reference?? like i referenced (A & B) as a single name & later i found both A & B have individual connotations as well and need to reference them individually. This creates an issue
4:24 I feel like you shouldve shown us how to merge in case that issue comes up. Havent finished the vid yet so maybe you do but something to consider.
Because not every instance of you using a term would necessarily be the type of reference that you want e.g. if you have case examples that do not add to the overall understanding of heart rate. You can choose what you want but if you want a set of references that help you better understand the concept of heart rate for revision or review, it is best to have a defined set of references for it.
Hello is there a backbutton ? I accidentally deleted my reference and now the document says it could not find it anymore. Also, what its the difference between a portal and a reference ?

tables are a feature now
@@claude77573 fr dude she keeps posting the same comment on other remnote videos
Guys! This is amazing. Thank u for bringing RemNote to world!
thank you so much I am loving the rem notes' videos so far. succinct and extremely helpful and that's literally all I needed.
For BackLinks I feel like it would be easier if there was an add all button.

So true. Imagine having 1000 🤣
So cool. Remnote has changed my life! Thank you!

How do you undo references without deleting the rem?
MGMT reference, nice.
Hope you can add another video talking about references and graph view if possible
Hi, the shortcut for making a reference doesnt work for me. Anything I can do?
Why the highlight is not bright as your one in my browser version? The highlights are very light.
If you find the browser is automatically generating closing brackets when you type in open brackets, check your add-ons. It turns out ProKeys was interfering with Remnote.
Are references that contain flashcards tested in the new document?
what keyboard are you using?
Would changing a reference in one area change all of them at the same time, like how it did before the update?

Check out the /merge command.
Can we find all the #tags used? I mean how do we keep tracking all the #tags
I love remnote but using references make it somewhat slow
@Remnote 7:30 : Why would I need to use References, if the Text References already exist? Are there any benefits to differentiate between the two?
Because not every instance of you using a term would necessarily be the type of reference that you want e.g. if you have case examples that do not add to the overall understanding of heart rate. I think when you make a reference, all of flashcards inside that are tested again from 0 when practicing , so bad

You can use ctrl + z to undo something :)
What is the difference between reference and portal?
Yeah but how i use it in practice Mode on mobile. It dont do anything if i Click on it
Tables please!! 🙏🙏
i wonder if i should use this for every term memorisable? there is a lot
it is well worth the effort, hopefully you followed thru with it
NICE
