Aloha John, Nice video! I went to Tori no ichi on the 17th instead. I brought back the kumade purchased in 2023, handed it in for burning, and this year bought a larger, more decorative kumade to bring back to Hawai’i for our company. Full circle completed! We’ll rake in the dough in 2025! Ha! Sorry to miss you once again (10th visit!)
My wife and I ran into you folks last year at this festival! Has it been a year already? You need to try the chicken skin that they shake up in a bag with the seasoning. Soooo good!
All looks so good. Had a great time with family and my adult children here today in the USA. 🇺🇸 I had desert awhile ago. The weather had been very cold here. It’s 9:36 here in Colorado
All that street food would 30-50% more expensive over here. Quality and taste will also be mediocre. It is sad that we have to pay what was "restaurant" prices in 2019 for just street food nowadays.
It’s finished unfortunately. Today was the last day of 3. Next one is next November :) the Christmas markets are up now, more street food at the temples and shrine on 12/31 and 1/1 for sure!
Seoul had it first snow a couple of days ago, i don't think Tokyo had one yet? CMIIW... Still weird to me how neighboring countries, a short leap over the pond, have a 15-20 degree difference in temperature. Must be the island life.
Well, if we are it daily, I’d buy one 😂 but we eat it 1-2 times a year and it doesn’t actually take much time to whip it, whip it really good. Just have to make sure the whipping technique allows air in. Kinda fun and feels good when you achieve peak whip! 🍨
I am always going to all those matsuri only to search for Jagabatta but somehow it seems really rare lately especially in Summer I only found it twice :( Seems to be more of a Winter thing here in Japan but I really don't get why ... also its getting slightly expensive latey ...
@onlyinjapanGO Ah, 'Asukusa' was a calculated trap all along ? Genius move, John. But careful-next time, you might just accidentally trigger the entire "Asakusa tourism board." I will be watching… with a red pen. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
once you have been here long enough you learn its just basic run of the mill food. if you like the atmosphere its fun but make no mistake its not quality
It’s festival food! Some is great, so is not. Not sure how much better yakisoba can get. I’ve noticed an improvement in quality over the years. It’s definitely better than 25 years ago. I’m
Don’t think is nice..since is done by staffs who temporarily hired to cash on tourists..all this food fairs..really just bad..reason people buy n eat because of the environment, and most don’t return again
Thank you for the wonderful video about the large-scale Japanese food stall festival in Tokyo 👍

Chilly!!! ☃️ I’m sure it’ll freeze over here soon. Lucky to have this sunshine now!
Happy thanksgiving!
Well John, Your Lunch was great! Thanks for the Food adventure.
Delicious start to the day! Thanks for joining me ^_^
@onlyinjapanGO You're welcome John.
😊🏆🏆🏆
I wish I could smell the smells
The TV and smartphone of the future!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃😊
Darn it, I arrive in Tokyo tomorrow, missed it by a day!
Darn, it’s a good one! The Christmas markets are open but not as exciting here.
Hi, can you remind me the name of the lucky charm object in some festival shop please?
Kumade
Hey John do ever go out in the evening to view the lights or you don't have time?
On this channel, I’ve about 30 videos of the lights. It’s early - December will be lit! 🔥

John how long does it last? My wife and I will be in Tokyo next Saturday. Hope to get to visit that one near Asakusa

Maybe you want a Stainless Steel Whipped Cream Maker Dispenser with whipping capsules for Kanae. My sister has one and it's pretty awesome.

@@onlyinjapanGO It was a sorta gift idea, my sister totally loves the thing.

Maybe! I saw it last at a festival in June, Torigoe. Definitely better in winter!
Just came back from japan 2 days ago, wtf 😂 😢
Your connection was bad, audio splotchy
It happens live, can’t monitor it but it gets better … my iPhone didn’t pick up my new mic receiver. Just got it yesterday.
The correct pronunciation is "Asakusa / あさくさ".... Not "Asukusa" 😊
I did it just to trigger you 😂

That Sugar thing shown on 5:30 is so incredibly disgusting .... hardly ever ate something worse ^^V
Depends, if you’re older than 12 😂 it’s literally sugar. They don’t sugar coat what it is. It’s sugar.
junk food festival
Better than a bag of Doritos. They use real cabbage, eggs, pork, fish flakes … there’s a lot of vitamins in there. Some of it, yeah -
Don’t think is nice..since is done by staffs who temporarily hired to cash on tourists..all this food fairs..really just bad..reason people buy n eat because of the environment, and most don’t return again
Huh? This festival is centuries old … outside a shrine’s annual event. Tourists will pay less here than say Tsukiji Market which is a tourist trap.
