    Being from the UK, I've seen a lot more people becoming fans of the Leafs since the All or Nothing documentary. I've followed them religiously this season and have been staying up until 3am most nights to watch the games. Thanks for being such a welcoming fanbase. I hope the winds finally are changing for the Leafs.

    I wrote Willy off after that Game 4 debacle even after he scored those 2 goals. I thought, "he's not willing to lay his body on the line and that's why they lose". We all know he can snipe and he's arguably the best skater on the team. His slapper in this game to take the lead was a shot only a handful of the best goal scorers could make. However, the most impressive play was his power move across the face of the other 88 to try and beat him on the far side, past an outstretched pad, into an awaiting TB defender just drooling to hit him. Willy knew he was going to take a hit and he did. That's the moment I realized they may just win this series.

    So myself and a couple friends were watching the game at my brother's house and in between periods, we'd play Ping Pong. Before we did, I wanted everyone to say something positive about the Leafs (they were a little down after the first). We each said something, things started clicking, we were feeling better... then the third period.
    What a rollercoaster of emotions! When Nylander sniped the lead, we went nuts. When Tampa tied the game, the room went silent, besides the odd complaint. Then when Marner and Matthews had the 2 on 1 and scored the GWG? The 4 of us nearly woke up the whole neighborhood! Moral of the story? Stay Positive (+)! The game's not over till the final horn goes.
    1. More. Game. That's all we ask 🙏

    nothing better than a come back win in hockey. its amazing. I know it's not Leafs but I was so happy when the Avs came back and won game 4 against the preds. that Makar pass to tie was even better considering it was for the go ahead goal

    I think the Leafs win Game 6 and break Vasy’s 16-0 record after losing a playoff game because the Leafs ARE the demons! If that happens wouldn’t be surprised to see them go deep in the playoffs.

  • @ZackGisme
    @ZackGisme 2 года назад +1

    Somehow underrated moment. Jack saving that breakaway in the second. Leafs have ALL of the pressure and Tampa gets a break - historically that’s when our backs break. But not this time!

    2 things that drive me crazy that this leaf team does…1) refuses to shoot the puck on the PP until they have the perfect shot…2) the stupid blind back passes they do a lot while in the denfensive zone…cost them the tying goal…but just glad marner redeemed himself and matthews finished it off…i hope they finish it off in game 6…GLG!!!

    Incredible win by the team after the terrible start. This is was the team that battled for success in the regular season.
    Come Thursday they can CHANGE the narrative again. Many are already making the assumption for game 7. Let's actually PLAY game 6 and see what happens.
    All in - always.

    Just want to say, in my NHL 2022 franchise mode with the Montreal Canadians, the Habs won the first overall draft and in the same year the leafs won the cup. Now it's just a video game but the Habs did win the lottery draft

    That was a Hockey game. The end in doubt some very serious concern . The ghost of playoff past lurking .
    Now Steve and leaf fans with all respect Game 5 win a season with the most team points Mathews 60 goal season . Marners season it all means nothing if they don't! Not able too cannot take that very small but huge step forward to step on the throat of Tampa Bay Lightning take that Hespler CCM javelin and drive it through the heart of the two 2 Stanley Cup Champions then their heads..
    This is will be their defining moment

  • @killachinchilla9445
    @killachinchilla9445 2 года назад

    Isn't it fitting that the deciding game 6 not only will be the Leafs finally winning a playoff series, but they will be doing it with back to back wins over the back to back champs against a goalie who hasn't lost back to back playoff games in that two year span?

  • @JoshFois
    @JoshFois 2 года назад

    Whatever the outcome of this series (hopefully leafs win), it will go down as the most officiated I’ve ever seen. It’s crazy that once the whistles get put away, the game starts flowing both ways. Leafs took like 1 penalty from 2nd period till the end. I think Tampa took like 2 and one was too many men. Huge character W from the leafs. Some heart was shown.
