“Adai+Daididau” - Bastau, 2017: As a traditional song of their culture, Dimash is thrilled with the audience's participation and has a very passionate delivery on stage. The song speaks of the composition of Magzhan Zhumabayev, who is considered an exponent of Kazakh literature. When in 1928 he was sent to prison, and later sent to camps in North Karelia, Russia, Zuleikha followed him, no matter where he was taken, she always found him and came to see him everywhere. She went to great lengths to get him released from prison in 1936, even asking the famous writer Maxim Gorky for help. During his prison term, Zhumabayev received the lying news that his wife had abandoned him, in this sense Daididau was written as a lament for the lost love and suffering of the nation. But contrary to what he thought, outside his wife worked hard for his freedom and in 1934 his sentence was reduced and he was finally able to return to the family.
This is my most favorite Kazakh song from Dimash!!! Of course I love Unforgettable Day written by him, but Daididau stole my heart. Since then in all the concerts, Dimash always asks his Dears to sing the chorus with him-in the NY concert, it brought him to tears because his dream was to sing Daididau in U.S. soil along with all his Dears. It was magical moment!

This song is very dear to Dimash and he sings it at just about all of his concerts. He had an interview when he was quite young and said that his dream is to sing this song for the whole world. When he participated in The Singer 2017, he said his dream came true. The show was broadcast to over 10 million viewers. He had a concert in New York and the "Dears" sang this song for him in Kazak. He cried on this stage.
This song is written about a prominent Kazakhstan historical figure and it embodies the pain and sacrifice and suffering his people went thru to secure their countries sovereignty, wrapped in the personal story of a love lost by cruel dishonesty. Dimash is basically the world symbol and ambassador for his country now, and he has always had deep respect and pride in his countries history and culture.....To be able to sing this song that is known by all Kazakhs in front of 60K people who flew in to see him from all over the world in his home country ....to share his countries history, culture and richness with the world means so much to Dimash... and this moment was his first huge stadium event!!

El concierto Bastau 2017, es uno de los más bellos, por su calidad y por la entrega humilde de Dimash , en su primer concierto en su país, después de I am Singer en China.
