- Praying with beads is a way to enter a deeper, more meditative prayer space. The feel of the beads combined with the repetitive nature of the prayers help focus the mind and invite the Spirit in.
In this series of short videos, you can follow along as we pray three types of prayer bead devotions:
1. Traditional Prayer features familiar devotions.
2. Serenity Prayer is built around the "Serenity Prayer" and other devotions to give over power to God.
3. Healing Prayer asks for intercession for ourselves or others in need of healing.
All prayers appear on screen, and you can pray with us even if you don't have your own set of beads. Хобби
I added this into my daily routine every night before bed.
I really love following along with this. Such a blessing.
A beautiful way to seek the mercy of God. Magnificent devotional aid. Thank you so very much for a wonderful video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Amen 🇮🇪 🙏
Thank you for the video. I play it every night before bed. I made my own rosary sometime back. Blessings from Kentucky.
Thank you for the example. I struggled to understand if prayers were repeated or if each bead in the set of 7 stood for something different. Im really excited to try this to make my prayer times more focused. I think itll be helpful too when I'm overwhelmed not to ruminate in my prayer on the bad things happening, which I tend to do.
I just bought a set of these beads. It came with a card that teaches a variety of prayers that can be said on in.
Wow. I was raised an Anglican, and I had no idea we could use beads. I thought it was just Catholics.
The Orthodox has prayer beads too since 300 AD.
I think just anyone can use beads it's just how
Thanks. Very helpful.
This is beautiful I can follow it and pray. What a blessing 🥰
We're so glad you find it helpful. Bless you in your prayers and devotion
I knew to your faith. I don’t know where to start? But it feels right. Any information about your faith or help I would appreciate it. Thank You.
@@tiosoto9617 You can find more about The Episcopal Church on our Web site: dioceseofnj.org/newcomer-resources/ Or just find an Episcopal Church near you and come in. Ask people about it. Most churches offer newcomer classes: www.episcopalassetmap.org/
@@EpiscopalDioceseofNewJersey Does your website have any written instructions about this prayer? Would maybe be nice for people to be able to make a print out to follow along with in the event they are without internet.
So interesting! It’s cool that y’all pray the rosary- albeit a different kind- as well. 📿😃 it’s more similar to our divine mercy chaplet. Do you guys only have four decades or weeks because it resembles a cross?
The cruciform beads is the our father which is supposed to be from the Bible Matthew chapter 6. At least that the holy rosary. I am Roman Catholic. ❤🎉
Anglican prayer beads take a more flexible format than Roman Catholic rosary. There are a wide variety of prayers that can be said. We have posted videos for three different ways to pray the beads (traditional, healing, and serenity) but these are just a few of the ways they can be adapted to personal devotions.
how many beads are there on there x
How many times a day do you do this?
As many times as you like,In the apostle Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians he tells them to “Rejoice always.Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”
You will find this piece of scripture in 1Thessalonians 5:16-18
Hope this helps!!!!
