While I was waiting for my own palette to come in the mail, I was looking out for your video because I had remembered you doing danessa myricks and pat mcgrath videos in the past. My jaw dropped when you showed how you can take the individual eyeshadow pans out with a magnetic wand. I have so many floating around my home. Thank you for the detailed review and makeup looks. I’m happy to know that it helped! I’m kicking myself because another subscriber gifted me a magnetic pen that for the life of me I cannot find 🫠 BUT I remembered that a magnet is a magnet and realized that I could use my polish wands! You can probably use the rectangle side as well, but I have to try again because the pan didn’t pop out when I hovered it.
At first when you stacked the lid on just one palette, I went “aww, how cute! But I’m fine with my singles”, but when ALL THREE STACKED holy shit that is truly GENIUS 🤩

Not necessarily! You might stain the soft shader, but the dyed ones will be fine. The Jumbo Blender will be your MVP for the multichromes, whereas the soft shader will be great for the halo/translucent like pigments that are not super color heavy.

I have tried so many indie brands and the shadows that look the best on my lids are Viseart. They just give an airbrushed smooth look on lids. No fallout, no creasing all day (no glitter glue needed as well). I like that smooth eyelid look , even dispersion and the wet look. Not a fan of texture on eyelids. Is this similar? How would you compare the smoothness of this with other brands? And how would you place this for value against the indie brands? I understand this is travel friendly. But those pans are large! Viseart is even more travel friendly with tiny pan sizes and small palettes. But I understand large palettes are user friendly for face applications. Do you feel the powders are sturdy enough for travel? It's a very expensive palette to risk during travel. Just curious to hear more of your thoughts and those from others in your fam. And does anyone have any idea when this is coming to Australia? It will be 220$ :(
Hi hi! Thank you for taking time to write, and I’ll be happy to address your concerns. Danessa’s formula is more emollient than Viseart, which could make it more susceptible to adding texture. The Glass Sheen, Soft Satins, and perhaps Halo Chromes are forgiving, but the rest won’t have that same airbrushed quality Viseart shadows possess. Powders in my opinion, reign supreme when blurring texture on face and lids. I also agree with your assessment that Viseart shadows are far more travel friendly, from a size and weight perspective. I have those as well, and the practicality cannot be beat. Given how much it will cost you, I would wait for a sale opportunity if you wish to take a chance and try this formula. Although Viseart might not exhibit the same finishes, I think they still have beautiful twinkle and shine. Compared to indie shadows, the standout comparison I would make is with Clionadh, but I’m not as well versed as Milly (Bad to the Brow). I haven’t watched her video yet, but she is what consider to be a Multichrome Sommelier 🤣 and perhaps she made a comparison in her review. I have heard from others who wear multichromes that Danessa’s formula is more user friendly than most. I hope that helps, and please write again if you have any more questions or comments!

This is definitely my dream palette as someone who loves a thin shifty shade and magnetic packaging in equal measures. But cannot go through the single shadow picking route. As always, Danessa freaking knocked it out of the park. Absolutely, stunning and innovative. The only thing is I wish choosing only one of the 3 sections were an option because that autumnal third is probably the only section I would actually use considering I have bought the Lightworks palettes in the past

This is my first Lightwork palette. I’m more of a neutral girl myself, but this color story was so appealing! It’s all the colors I like when I stray from neutral shades. I love the looks you got and thank you for helping to make them less intimidating. That packaging is an engineering masterpiece, ingenious! My problem with all the Lightworks palettes is that they are all rainbow...there is no curation just all the colours. I wish she would sell smaller more themed versions of these, so I can finally try her eyeshadows. Alas 2024 will not be the year yet again.

I knew this palette had been released and although I know Danessa Myricks' products are great, I wasn't planning on picking it up. Then I saw it in Sephora and it was in my basket in 10 seconds! I had also decluttered a previous Lightwork palette (IV, I think) because it did come of as a bit daunting. Maybe it's the change in pan size and formulas, but something about it just seems so much more accessible. I bought and used it in the same morning and can't wait to use it more! As always, Danessa freaking knocked it out of the park. Absolutely, stunning and innovative. The only thing is I wish choosing only one of the 3 sections were an option because that autumnal third is probably the only section I would actually use considering I have bought the Lightworks palettes in the past
That is true, and it would be interesting to see going forward if Danessa will create singles, or the actual sextets. Because this system needs to grow!

This is my first Lightwork palette. I’m more of a neutral girl myself, but this color story was so appealing! It’s all the colors I like when I stray from neutral shades. I love the looks you got and thank you for helping to make them less intimidating. I used my fingers for the one look I used, but I own the kjh brushes that I keep for travel, so thanks for that idea as well. I love the subscriber that got this for you. Thank You to her as well! It works out for all of us💯👍🏾😂

That packaging is an engineering masterpiece, ingenious! My problem with all the Lightworks palettes is that they are all rainbow...there is no curation just all the colours. I wish she would sell smaller more themed versions of these, so I can finally try her eyeshadows. Alas 2024 will not be the year yet again.

I knew this palette had been released and although I know Danessa Myricks' products are great, I wasn't planning on picking it up. Then I saw it in Sephora and it was in my basket in 10 seconds! I had also decluttered a previous Lightwork palette (IV, I think) because it did come of as a bit daunting. Maybe it's the change in pan size and formulas, but something about it just seems so much more accessible. I bought and used it in the same morning and can't wait to use it more! So thank you for this review, I knew you'd share some great ideas and thoughts!
