All British Era Old Engineering College are getting upgraded to IIEST.
Alumni Association of Respective college must right a detailed letters to Ministry of Education, State Govt. and State BJP Mumbai
Expressing in Details why VJTI to be upgraded to IIEST.
Following College listed.
1) DTU, Delhi
2) AMU, Aligarh
3) PEC, Chandigarh
4) COEP, Pune
5) VJTI, Mumbai
6) UVCE, Bangalore
7) COE, Guindy, Chennai
8) CUSAT, Kochi.
This has happened after Bhasavaraj Bommai Ex- CM of Karnataka, BJP suggested upgradation of UVCE in lines with IIT. However since land area was less than 300 Acres and IIT is present within 150 kms of UVCE Campus the Alumni Association suggested College to be converted to IIEST.
British Era College Roorkee, BHU was converted to IIT. And BESU Shibpur Howrah to IIEST after protest from Alumni Association of College.
For your kind information there are two cultural committees Pratibimb and Rangawardhan I feel you have to mention both 😊

@@_Quickly_Grow18 Bhai koi selected log phodte hai but maximum log itna nahi.. College mai academics, fest, bakar sab aajata hai so apni branch ke sath sath Computer ka padna mushkil hai

So Guys, I would recommend you to chose branch over college.. Because if you want to do a job and have placement then IT branch will give you that.. but if you are planning for Masters MS/M.Tech then you can go for college. Personally I think you should prefer branch as it is the safest option.

BTW I'm going to gcoe Aurangabad,mere senior hai waha to bole IT ka placement 6-8 LPA ke around hai ,aur baki cultural activities se leke sport activities bhi achhi tarah se hoti hai baki as compare to VJTI thoda low hai college but as we getting IT branch so we can compromise,there is no any academic pressure 😉,so overall it is YES

@@ANRAssight I had the same choice in round 3, I took PICT CS. Honestly I did not liked PICT, it was too school like and very strict. I was praying that I get into VJTI CS or COEP CS in round 4. I got VJTI CS in round 4 and that was great. Coming back to the point, I had constantly compared VJTI CS and IT and I felt that there is no difference in CS/IT branch in VJTI. And peer wise VJTI It is equally good. Placement is also same or better than CS.

I don't live far enough from VJTI to get college alloted hostel, but fir bhi itna dur hai ki travelling boht time chala jaayega. So i was considering pg in college area. Pls tell some sources to check for pg or hostel

for rest of Maharastra - COEP CS is the 1st option and then VJTI cs
