Mackinaw island has a lot of spawns in a very concentrated area, meaning new players often spawn here. But it also has (probably) the highest concentration of helicopter crashes, so reseting for rogue pieces or ghilie set is very lucrative for experienced players.

When I first started….
I joined, spawned in, arrived in junk yard, looted a cabinet, came out, and instantly beamed by an aug. I remember it clear as day! The first day of apoc2 being free. 😅

Huron is a much more "noob" island because the only good thing it can spawn is the patriot ak74 and all soviet cans

I was on Makinaw like just yesterday, I was able to leave with a Katana, XM, laser sight, MP5, Jet Black Vest. These island may seem boring, but seem really good loot can spawn.

@@YoSoyNic to find a katana you may want to search in areas where melee weapons are commonly found, such as military bases, weapon storage facilities, or areas with a high concentration of zombies. Additionally, looting buildings, houses, and other structures can sometimes yield melee weapons like the katana.
@@YoSoyNic In mines there's this caveman that can spawn with it. I remember the location but it's hard to explain when trying to map it out. But he's in this like hidden spot in mines.
