What’s a T cell?
T cells are a type of immune cell, or white blood cell. They mature in the thymus, which is why they are called "T cells". There are different types of T cells, and the one you see here is a cytotoxic or "killer" T cell that can kill cells infected by bacteria or viruses, as well as cancerous cells like this one, in the right conditions. Cancer cells can change to avoid T cell attacks which is why scientists are developing new therapies to help the immune system fight cancers.

My mother was diagnosed with stage four brain metasis 3 month ago, she had a full time job working as a cleaner and she was getting severe back pain and also in her legs, the doctors had did blood tests and a body scan an her and they found out she had a tumor on her bladder so they booked her in to get radiotherapy for it and was all looking good and then she had a seizure at home which then the doctors had did further scans and found 7 tumors on her brain, they have tried radiotherapy to remove them but they had to stop because the tumors were bleeding, now I have to watch my mother die from being a normal person 3 month ago to now being bound in a wheelchair and she can't even speak. I just wanted to share this with you guys because I have been feeling very low recently and wanted to now I am not alone

You not alone darling, my partner died of non hodgekins lymphoma, my daughter has been treated for a tumor on her peritoneum that has shot off into her bowl and kidney, she has another scan next week to see if they have managed to contain it but she's been so tired and ill of late, she still copes with her two daughters, 9 and 10,.to think she used to be a carer herself.

Hospice will provide u with a nurse & an aide who will come out & bathe the patient, make sure she has everything to keep her as comfy as possible! Plus a chaplain visits if the FAM or patient wishes, plus a bereavement specialist to counsel you & any family members who are struggling with Moms diagnosis, & also a social worker to help u complete all the paperwork, etc, getting meds approved, just all kinds of busy work that they can take off the family's plate..also it's all covered 100%by Medicare. Know u are not alone & I will b praying for your family & julieannhall u too I'll be praying for your daughter .& I've been doing this a long time, death is not the end, we def go somewhere beautiful when we pass I've been at the bedside one too many times to NOT believe..

December of 2021 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer which had metastasized to my lungs, upper intestines, lymph nodes and renal artery. I was told I had 3-6 months left. But that made me eligible for a clinical trial of immunotherapy drugs. I had nine treatments over seven months and in April of 2023 was declared cancer free ! Miracles do happen !

You are definitely NOT alone. My Mom had a rare form of cancer above her left knee back in November of 2023 and she beat it using radiation therapy but then this last February 1st she was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung Cancer. My mother never once smoked a day in her life nor was she ever around smokers. The doctors think that the cancer in her knee must have spread and they didn't catch it. I also literally watched my Mom wither away. It was one of the hardest things that I had to endure. She passed away on February 22, 2024. There are times that I wanna call her on my cellphone but then immediately remember that she is not with us anymore. Even 5 months after her passing, I still think about her but I know she's in a better place. I too felt that I needed to share this. You are definitely not alone. I feel your pain.

My husband got diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer just last March 2024...4 weeks later, his oncologist treated him with a hormone treatment. 4 weeks after the treatment, his prostate-specific antigen (psa) went down from 800 to 41. We are in deep hope!

I had bone cancer 2006 and told I had three to three and a half months to live. Two of the things I think really helped with my health Is organic cabbage and broccoli I continue to eat healthy things.

My father died of lung cancer from coal mining. Recently my mom was diagnosed with cancer. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer last month. My father-in-law has cancer. Life is dark, but like Bob Ross said "If you have light on light, you have nothing. If you have dark on dark, you basically have nothing. Just like in life. Ive been there, my family has been riddled with cancer and i lost most my moms side of the family in a very short window of time. During that time i felt like i was living in the vally of death, everything was about care giving, getting permission for extra time off from work, talking about illness non stop, talking about will someone be able to come home or not, planning for someone to come home but they take a turn for the worse and die. Telling friends and other family whats the latest information, talking to nurses and Dr's. Seeking spiritual guidance, praying. Theres more but thats what life becomes. Ill be thinking of you and i believe others of us will be too. You'll be receiving prayers and the best thoughts from hundreds of people you dont know. You think these drug companies develop these treatments and drugs just for the hell of it? Like it or not, it’s a business for profit. It takes years, sometimes decades, to develop a drug that works, is safe and is effective.
My father just had this procedure; Lymphoma (non-Hodgekins). It completely destroyed the cancer...completely. It was gone in two weeks and he followed back up 2 months later and is still free of it. Simply amazing stuff

Prayers for your brother.
I'm here in China for minimally invasive treatment for breast cancer. I've undergone intervention (chemotherapy that is directly targeted on cancer tumors not your whole body, with embolisation, no surgery). I feel okay after the intervention, no nausea, vomiting and other bad side effects the regular chemotherapy gives.
I was going to undergo Cryotherapy in which tumors will be frozen and blasted. But 2 days after the intervention, the doctors noticed that the wound had shrunk and so the tumor had also shrunk so I would no longer need Cryotherapy.
I am preparing for my 2nd round of intervention this weekend.
Those of you who are battling from cancer, check out Modern Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, China. All the patients I have met there are getting a second chance at a quality life, without the dreaded side effects of traditional chemotherapy.

Try diet changes first with total elimination of sugar. The cancer cells feed on sugar and amino acids. I vitamin c is a common way to treat cancer of all kinds. Fasting /sugar elimination is very important though as the cancer cells are fermenting sugar for their way to produce energy. It’s a really simple way to stop it from getting worse. I know two people who had two different types of cancer both did the diet and vitamin C treatment both were able to get rid of the cancer and both are alive with no body part removal. Just wanted to mention this.
My mother gave me the news on Christmas that her cancer has metastasized. She’s had a hard life, I don’t know how much longer she’ll be with me. I just don’t want her to suffer anymore. I’ve always had this foreboding anxiety about cancer with all her addictions. I hate that I was right. Idk why I’m putting this here, but it’s literally so hard to speak about it.

Yes, terrifying. My Mum had a glioma, which acted like a slow stroke. She lost speech and mobility.
Obviously, the metastasis from breast cancer was growing before diagnosis, but from diagnosis to death took 80 days.
Heartbreaking to see such a fast decline.
In th UK, we have a support charity with qualified doctors and nurses that can prescribe palatiave care and medicines.
They also were able to counsel my father and I to understand and prepare for Mums decline.
They are called Macmillian nurses and doctors. Absolutley wonderful people!

With lymphoma in 2016 was in remission for six years. cancer came right back after a few month of maintenance.

Yh my mom had a hard spot on her breast and after a year it got bigger, they removed it(breast cancer and now she s doing chimioterapy)she started vomiting even tho she had no appetite or else and called 991(112)in romania she aint done with it tho she still got like 3 injections to do
My little cousin was diagnosed with kidney cancer when he was two years old and underwent chemotherapy and ultimately had to have his kidney removed ever since his immune system has been compromised and he gets sick regularly and just a few years ago his last remaining kidney developed a tumor and they had to remove that one as well luckily it was replaced by one of his older sister’s kidneys he’s 21 now and he’s a hermit much of his life was spent in a hospital unable to socialize properly but were all glad he’s still with us

My mother passed from breast cancer 2 years ago. She was a very special person. She cared about people and gave them anything she had. She was always very giving unto her last breathe. Mom I miss you and want to remember you today!!
I feel your pain my mom is battling breast cancer right now. It’s already spread to her bones. It’s one of the gm hardest things to watch the person you look up to get weak and crumble in a few months. It’s unfair but I guess it’s just life.
All of the methods you mentioned plus We contacted a company specializing in oncogenomic testing, and they recommended specific drugs for my mom’s cancer. After a month, some of her original breast cancer tumors are shrinking it’s too early to tell if the cancer has stopped metastasizing. We’re hopeful that this treatment will continue to be effective

I feel compelled to share that since I commented about the onco- genomics and started the treatment my mom hasn’t had any new metastases and has been somewhat stable. We have a bone scan in a few days to actually see how well she is responding to treatment but please look into ENHERTU or trastuzumab derictecan.

T cells are a special type of white blood cell. They’re like the special forces of the army. It would be nice to research up on how to support them. Such as one of the things I found out is that you can help them by taking shiitake or turkey tail mushrooms

I lost my step mom Jen Reeves to bone cancer. Started off with a weird lump on her chin and it just got worse from there, I miss her greatly and I know my dad had a piece of him taken with her after her passing. I feel sick knowing how much more time I should’ve spent with her. She was a teacher, a separated mother of 3, in a poor area raised from a family of sociopaths and narcissists but she rose above that and was genuinely a superhero to so many who looked up to her endurance and character, myself included. I can’t say that neither me or my dad are healed from the ordeal because that’s not something that heals, but the both of us are doing better and I’m grateful for that. Truly a real life Wonderwoman
