- Finally getting around to driving the IS300 after having the R154 rebuilt to make sure it shifts smoothly.
I originally wanted to do an uncut, raw, unedited video of driving to the gym (which turned out to be 16 minutes long) But I figured most wouldn't want to see it casually being driven for 15 minutes straight.
Car DESPERATELY needs an alignment and my next project is the big brake upgrade (as she is also due for brakes)
Just bought a brand new r154 for my na-t is300 super stoked
Dude that's awesome! Cant wait to see it!
Sounds so good!
Thank you! Love the trans sound!
Looks like it shifts super smooth, I’m doing the same thing soon. Hope you’re still enjoying it
Same transmission? I would recommend having it rebuilt I'd you're unaware of mileage or way it was used!
And I am, I haven't been driving it nearly enough because its just a weekend car and it seems every weekend here it's been raining
Good work. I also finished R154 manual-swapping mine. I have this shitty short shifter and it is extremely notchy (I also upgraded the shift forks). The way it looks to me, you're using much less effort shifting than I do.
What shifter are you using?
My shifter is notchy as hell. I used to have a TopSecret shift knob, which is maybe 2 inches tall? But it physically hurt my wrist if I drove the car for an hour because you had to almost force it into gear
I got a super long shift knob and it's easier
But after a FRESH transmission rebuild, now 3rd gear is grinding again :/
@@Brakenex Oh that's so unfortunate. Could it be the transmission shop mistake?
@blindcheto195 I don't thiiiiink so and I really hope not because it worked fine for a few months, but my thing is I only drive the car on weekends/every other weekend so it's hard to say
Looks fun to drive
It's an absolute blast! I wasn't trying to get into it on the first test drive back on the road, just trying to listen for any strange sounds and get a good feel for it since it was down for 7-8 months
But the next time, I'll be a little harder!
awesome man!
Thanks for checking it man! Awesome to see you here!
