  • The Ray-Ban New Wayfarer Classics might just be the best sunglasses of all time so I just had to review them. They aren't perfect and they aren't cheap, but there is just something special about the design which never seems to go out of style, which is why I wanted to talk about them today.
    As always thanks for watching.

      Thanks man 👊 They are 55. I've gotten a few pairs of Maui Jims over the last couple years and while I really love them, these Wayfarers are just my trusty go-tos. Can't go wrong wth 'em.

    I have owned all sorts of sunglasses, from cheep to high end brand sunglasses and the best in my opinion are the Rayban, i have a new pair of Rayban Wayfarer Havana's and a pair of Rayban Justin's, also Havana's the latter are sunglasses and the Wayfarers are persciption transitional, both unfortunately have prescribed lenses.

      I have found a couple other pairs of Maui Jims which I really like but I still always have the Wayfarers in my lineup. The Havana's and Justin's both look great... I'll have to check them out a little more next time I can. Thanks for the comment 👊

    How does insurance replace sunglass lenses? Were they custom prescription lenses?

      Yeah exactly. I don't need much of a prescription but a good place will work with you to make it work.

      Right?! Like a dependable old friend you always have fun with lol. Although I'm not going to lie, I am team Maui Jim too... I'll have to put them through the side-by-side showdown to see which company reigns supreme!

    Sunglasses are so personal like finding the right pillow.

      Totally agree. It IS nice to know there are some reliable brands / styles out there though. I love trying new brands or tech so when I find I keep going back to the old, well to me that's worth talking about! I'd love to get my hands on some sunnies with built in speakers and review those 😁 I can't tell if they'd actually be useful. Podcasts for long walks could be nice!
      Do you have any favorite sunglasses? Or do you just get the cheapies? Most people I've bumped into lately seem to just get cheap ones

    The size of the New Wayfarer you own?

      @TheSAHDLife  Год назад +2

      To be honest I've forgotten whether it's the 55mm ones. I think it is. I'll see if I can tell when I wear them tomorrow and let you know!

      Not sure, he never got back with the size information. I bought the original wayfarer and found it to be better made for the price. The new wayfarer seemed cheap to me.

      @3rdyellow o ok, so you went with the Original ones, I was kinda thinking the same

      @timscott5143 yeah you can't really go wrong. It depends on the size of your face a little bit. I still Rock these!

    They’re not that durable, they scratch very easily on concrete and the lenses are easily broken due to the fact that they are glass and not composite

      I've had mine since 2011 and only replaced the lenses about a year and a half ago! I do take good care of my sunnies though so I'm sure if you don't put 'em in a case after you use them the risk of damage is greater. They aren't the best sunglasses of all time but they are still my main pair. I rock a couple other pairs of Maui Jim's too though which I love. I like those lenses better but the styling of the Ray-Bans never gets old (imo).
