Hi again jebb. I tightened the mounting collar set screw for the outside selector knob! 👌 I am busy reassembling the machine after a strip down and clean. Another tip… KrudKutter will actually dissolve the brown singer screen print on the rear of the machine! Darn it. So viewers krudkutter is magic but it will kill the signwriting.
Yes, Krud Kutter will diminish it! I use aloe vera scented mineral oil to wipe down the machine. It's harmless to the finish and it smells nice. I have oiled machines with mineral oil but not usually. I use Krud Kutter when I need to. My go to clean is oil, then soap & water rinse; and then another drowning in oil. Let it sit for days; then wipe & clean dry. I'm glad your onto that machine! Lol! I am going to remove and re-install the Cam Selector Arm Shaft again! Enjoy Keith!
@@JebbAdams Jebb my name is Keith. Hope you are well. Thanksfor your help. Pretty amazing and one of the good things about the Internet! Your channel is great. I have a 401G and the 411G
@@bsd2000au2000 Thanks Keith! I really appreciate your comments. Do you know how to sew? I am just starting to learn on my 401a! Playing with these machines is a good gig! Chat soon!
@@JebbAdams Well a wise sewer lady once told me sewing is never perfect. I really like sewing and am teaching my self with RUclips how to sew. I find it very challenging. Way more than I ever dreamt it might be. It is fun though and I love it is creative.

You are welcome! Thanks got watching!
The Singer 401G more than likely has the cover also. It seems particular to the 400 "G" models.
And these are incredibly well built machines. They are an engineering master stroke
@@bsd2000au2000 You are so right! Truly engineering marvels! Do you have other machines also?
