      Shorthand for 'Nota bene', used in the english language to usually imply 'Note well' or 'Take note of this'. Not a widely used saying these days, apologies for the confusion!

    that looks good, but the aim would be to add a nested family and constrain it for rotating rather than modelling any live geometry

      Can't you just rotate the family instance at project level though? That seems one level of redundant nesting to me. Unless you mean the folding sides?
