This beautiful place looks identical geographically, culturally, spiritually to Leh, Ladakh-basically same land same people divided by fake man made lines on the map. Edit: Frenchy just compared the place to Kaza good to know I am not the only one noticing similarities😅
Ladakh is sort of far away, yes the landscapes are similar but Ladakh is far more arid, vast, and has mesmerizing lakes and grasslands you won't find in Mustang.

Hi! Tashi Delek ! At 12:55 you spin the the Mani Choe Khor (Tibetan prayer wheel) correctly it’s indeed spun in clockwise. 17:25 the books are PeCha ( Tibetan prayer book) and also in case you didn’t know the colorful prayer flags you see it’s called Lungta in Tibetan. It’s supposed to be hung in high places and on auspicious day. And lastly the Monasteries are called Gompa in Tibetan.
Oh I forgot to mention 1:35 it’s not clay it’s called Tsampa (Barley) which is a staple food in Tibet. my parents eat them daily and it’s quite filling. 👍🏼
Bro, Gonpa means Monastery in Tibetan language. The landscapes, the views and the life of the people dwelling there captured in the video are magnificent. 🌻
Pierre, tsampa is roasted barley which is ground into flour. It is a staple diet in this region and Tibet. The shelf life of Tsampa is very long so nomads and traveller's carry it in this stark Himalayan region. It's ready to eat. Just boil some water and make some tsampa dough. What the monk was making was little stupas called torma. Torma is essential in all these ceremonies. The books that you were pointing at are actually holy scriptures. Keep on trukkin Pierre.
