I've never though of Thalia being Irish, or at least sounding Irish, but the idea of a punk/goth/rock Irish daughter of Zues makes it very humorous to me haha
haha it's actually growing on me tbh 😂 i tried to do a Greek accent because shes Zeus' kid but im liking that shes more rebellious than just her outfit lol
I read for persassy but was very curious abt Nico! Cannot wait to learn more abt him (I remember my library only having the first and 2nd book so everything now I'd rlly new to me!)
😂it's alright if Talia sounds irish, makes it funny she reminds me of scattach from the alchemist series. Props on trying to do a greek accent that's tough to pull off!!
haha ya know, i might try to have Thalia be more like Scathach, because they sound pretty similar lol but I was trying to watch and listen to so many YT videos over the Greek accent that i just tried and tried, and nothing stuck soooooo i recorded it and moved on 🤣👌
Am I the only one who thinks Grover sounds like Shaggy? (Scooby-doo)😂😂😂 and Thalia sounds Scottish?😂😂 love the variation, though. And the consistency. Really helps to differentiate between the characters!
haha thank you Samke! 😂 I will definitely be the first to admit that having Thalia be so.. different was a big risk and I wasn't too happy with it BUT i loved how it made her so different and I'm glad someone else loves the differences too lol
I’m sorry I really tried but I can’t deal with Thalia’s accent. It just doesn’t make sense why she would have a foreign accent, let alone Irish, if she’s born and raised in America. It could be cause I already know her history from reading the series(es) previously but the accent just breaks the immersion for me. I still love and admire all the effort you put into your audiobooks, with the sound effects and voices though.
youre very right Thomas and, if i can be honest, im not 100% on board with the accent either but it just happened and since i cant really do female voices, i tried making her as distinct as i could 😅 my best female voice is probably Annabeth's and thats not really saying much lol but i do appreciate your comment and the love for my videos
@hxnnibe3 are being rude tbh like think of others feelings how would you like to be told : quit what you're doing you suck! Or I'll find a replacement for you once you are kicked off a team . Go learn some manners.. anyway jazzy love you're books and I think it fits her very well 😊 great job if you are male it's hard to do female voices so I completely understand if YOU do not like how you did it
aw thanks Dorian! and i kinda get where theyre coming from buuuuut at the same time, i just wanted to make her sound different than the rest of them and a "child of zeus" couldve come from anywhere! lol
says who? How do we know that Thalia is from the states? we just know her as a tree then as a kid with Luke and Annabeth. Nico and Bianca are Italian and besides, I just used the Irish as a way to distinguish Thalia from everyone else.
@@JazzyJAudiobooks Thalia and her brother Jason are from California I believe. Their mother attracted Zeus/Jupiter’s attention. Nico and Bianca accent on point. Anabeth is from the east coast I believe.
@@JazzyJAudiobooks it's later in the next book series Annabeth is originally from Virginia than California and then to New York I believe the grace siblings were originally from California than Thalia ran away and Jason was in San Francisco Percy is obviously from New York
The over acting with voices makes it hard to listen to. You have a great voice when it's plain, but I would say take it down a few notches on the acting part. You do lovely job as yourself.

Sounds more Scottish to me 😂

thank you for making these!
youre welcome jk! im glad you're liking these!

Does he change it throughout the reading? Might find another narrator because honestly i cant stand it haha
haha unfortunately, i try to keep my characters as consistent as possible 😂 i just wanted to make her stand out and thats what i came up with lol

It’s so silly how pressed people are about a simple accent,, i think you did a great job its a nice and interesting touch

Honestly would have been funnier if you did a angsty teen voice for Thalia
Talia and all the campers are not Irish. Love hearing the audiobook reader but not his accents. The characters are from the states.

What is this danish accent for Thalia? I got to hear an Italian accent for the DiAngelos
This is a nightmare I’m so sad about the accent lmaoo

Fuck I’m already on book 3 at this rate I’ll be finished with the series before next week

You do realize that Talia is a fifteen year old American girl, right? Why did you make her sound like a middle aged Scottish man?
10:15
a bit too fast but good!
Hi my name is Roxy, if you think it's to fast you can slow it down by clicking the setting in RUclips and changing the speed
I don't mind the Irish accent :)
haha awwww thanks Person! I didnt know why i used it, apart from "make her sound different" 😅
I love these series
